It's another example of red/maga having a bad understanding of facts.... Do Rs have larger ownership of firearms? Yes. Do they have exclusive ownership of firearms? Nope.
Registered firearms below (est). But pretty sure Maga also touts how many minorities are a problem with armed crime as you insinuate which wouldn't be accounted for below.
I think it is also a weird minded person that thinks many folks are just going to take up arms against neighbors because they disagree with a law.
That's one way to look at it.
From my view what it does is highlight the hypocritical nature of so much of politics these days. E.g. you can't regulate my guns, but now we're going to regulate that you can't regulate our guns, oh yeah and we can regulate your health care/bodies as well.
We're about to experience a heavy "me"-focused USA, rather than a "we" focused USA. Guess we'll see how that goes.
