Strategy for buying tickets

Like everyone else, I am hoping to score 2 tix for a reasonable price. I have heard people say that the game has not sold out in the past, yet all tix available are at some premium over face value. I thought there may be some coming available at a reasonable price when the East separated itself out yesterday from OSU and Mich. fans, but did not see that happen. I have not purchased tickets on the secondary market before for a big, high demand game, so have a couple questions:

1. When on Stub Hub, there are still a good number of large sections with NO seats for sale at all. Where are those tickets and will they become available?

2. I am flying in Sat. am, so don't want to take the chance on buying outside the stadium (plus, got burned that way once before). I would think that as we get closer to game time, sellers may start dropping their prices to make sure they sell. Is that what typically happens? Or should I just jump on anything that looks like a reasonably good deal now?

Thanks for any help.

Just bought 2 on vivid a little cheaper than stub hup, tickets look like they are going fast, prices going up also

The optimal strat for buying tickets is always wait until a few hours before the game. Stubhub cuts it off at some point so if you must have tickets off stubhub they will be the cheapest the morning of the game. Scalping will likely be cheapest if you wait until just before the game but I have never scalped in Indy so I don't know how easy it will be there. Personally I feel like there is no way prices could go higher, supply is so low on stubhub right now and more tickets should be freeing up, I would certainly wait until later this week.

we're talking about tickets here chief, not the betting line.
