I think for the first time that Kirk's influence on the offense is slowly waning in favor of Lester.Which is why I temper my enthusiasm about the transfer portal. With Kirk’s system, how much does it really matter?

I wonder how much input KF has if any. If he has any, then I hope it stops and leave Lester's at 100% and then see what happens.I think for the first time that Kirk's influence on the offense is slowly waning in favor of Lester.
Exactly. He has no clue how to use the players he has to best utilize them in space or on the field at the same time. He had a three headed monster at rb with KJ, Jaz, and Moulton or Washington. Do you think we saw any sets with two or three of them with one being the qb? Or Wetjen in a slot role to get him the ball in quick outs or in a wide receiver screen play? There is no imagination with him as the head coach in knowing how to use players to maximize their ability in space with the ball. I just don’t get the lack of creativity in designing plays with your best players.Which is why I temper my enthusiasm about the transfer portal. With Kirk’s system, how much does it really matter?
Says curtisj’s boyfriendAdditionally, how about you donate $1,000 to Swarm every time you bitch about curtisj bitching? That would solve all of Iowa’s money issues.
Just call it what it is - another tax. See how that flies.UI compliance will not allow it.
Just sayin.
Capt Fossil needs to go away.Exactly. He has no clue how to use the players he has to best utilize them in space or on the field at the same time. Yup. In addition to making a completely inappropriate comment by outing you and Curtis, he omitted the obligatory NTTIAWWT. That's wrong on so many levels. You sound 12.
There is zero basis for this comment. We have absolutely no idea what money is in the coffers.
It’s not a big deal, but there have been tweets suggesting they are top 25, those numbers are at best a guess. There are no solid numbers for any of this.I'm reporting what has been reported.
College football's top 50 programs ranked by NIL efforts

I can't find the actual NIL only research I saw earlier.
That is not true, that was around the total. Ohio State didn't even spend the most money. Texas and Oregon spent more.Herbsreit said last night Ohio State spent $20 million on their defense. If that’s true, the system is broken
It will, you just have to overpay by a large margin like Michigan did for their HS QB.Money will not persuade a star QB or WR to play for a shitty offense. Other teams with modern offenses have money too.
But doesn't Iowa pay all their players evenly? I certainly could be wrong but I was under that impression. For folks saying it’s not a money issue, I disagree. Maybe our price has to be higher because of the poor offensive history, but we all have a price. Every. One. Of. Us.
Allegedly we are top 25 in NIL (who knows if that is real or can be validated). But if we are pursuing a million dollar talent, we probably have to pay 1.5 mil to offset any poor reputation compared to another school.
But that should not be a problem for OL, RB, TE, DL, DB, or LB. It’s really just the QB and WR positions where we have an uphill battle. But even if all things are equal, we’ll need to offset the brand advantage that an Alabama or Georgia or Ohio st have. That can only be done with $$$. Or mostly quickly with $$$ that is.
They might. Honestly, who knows!? It’s all rumor and hearsay imo and total Wild West which is so unfortunate. But doesn't Iowa pay all their players evenly? I certainly could be wrong but I was under that impression.
