Stripping The Rose Bowl

Has this ever been done? Can it be done? From the photos I saw from the CCG, it looked like Hawk fans did a amazing job of doing so. And did so with 1 week to 2 weeks to do so?

Hawk fans going to the game will have tickets in hand and will have plenty of time to organize.

From inside the stadium, the striping didn't work at all for me because 1) looking across the field we saw the MSU side and 2) even on the Iowa side there were tons of MSU fans. From the Iowa side, scanning the Iowa side there was no perceptible striping at all. I was surprised and impressed that it kinda worked on TV. Black scattered throughout the MSU sections was completely lost, as it will be in the Rose Bowl. Count me as firmly on board the "all gold" train.

This is exactly it. The B1G Championship game would have looked much better with all gold.

This, the striping would be cool in theory, but you have to depend on people to do it correctly and you have to hope that they get the seating that they need to make it happen. All gold sticks out much better.

Some feedback (I have heard this from many fans, too): Striping Kinnick is a great idea. However, for all road games, i think fans should be encouraged to wear gold so that they stand out on TV. In Indy, 2/3 of the crowd were Iowa fans but the black did not stand out on TV. The Rose Bowl will be at least 60% Iowa fans and don't you want the gold standing out & contrasting the Stanford red? I think it would be a "wow" moment when an overhead shot is taken and the 100,000 seat Rose Bowl is mostly gold. Recruits are watching; the nation is watching. Let's hit this out of the park! GO HAWKS!!!
