States decided years ago they couldn’t afford to house all those needing to be cared for… and close up facilities…Iowa has closed 3-4 in the past 20 years or so…because they couldn’t staff (afford) them…gotta cut those taxes you know.,

Sure there is. There is waste in every department. At least 1/4 of the government workforce can be cut, which would result in a reduction of office space.

There can be changes in government pensions (401K) and healthcare (larger employer contributions), etc. Eliminate student loan forgiveness for everyone.
