Sure Gonna be Hard to Fire JJ now….

Sorry HROT basketball coaches…better luck down the line.
I wonder who drew up the game plan today? Beth oughtta hire whoever that was! ;)

lol…. Maybe the absolute hardest thing in the world to do as a coach as shut out the noise and keep coaching your players. Most of the board would have had AOG on the bench. Been up & down seasons but in my opinion she’s done a good job. The inbounds have been her biggest issue and it was better today

I still want Ava Heiden to play more.

I'm fully ackowleding I'm not at practice so I'm not sure what it all looks like on a day to day basis. To me, Ava needs minutes and I hope she gets some soon.

O'Grady looked great today. Olsen, who I've been critical of, looked great. Coaching was great. Solid win all around.

What an environment for recruiting. I was afraid we would get a 25 point beat down. Who will have interviews with the recruits??????

I never thought we’d get beat down, but I wasn’t counting on a win for sure. Good, bad or indifferent this is still a good team. This is still the team we thought at the first of the year was pretty good, but they are terribly terribly inconsistent. Hopefully this will give them a little bit of boost and we can get on a run.

They still didn’t shoot well but it was encouraging seeing them drive and attack, In the 2nd half USC really tried to take the 3 point shot away and Iowa did great driving it at them and got a lot of trips to the line.

I would also like to see this, but if there’s one area that Jan can coach the hell out of, it’s the frontcourt. She was heavily credited with Megan’s, Monika’s, and others’ development; at home versus the number 3 team in the country is not the environment for giving minutes to players as fan service.

Yes, and when Addy got good position, she was deeeeppp and didn’t hesitate to spin and her 15Ft Elbow shot was lethal. Late in the game Kylie purposefully (may have been told to) drove to set up the space/angle and Addy flashed out there! It was awesome. And quite frankly we couldn’t afford her to miss & she did not!

Here’s the thing and I mean this in my kindest my sincere way. I get the frustration. I do, this team is actually pretty good. They have some talent and we really should likely have had at least 3 maybe 4 less loses and be on the cusp of the top 10. But we aren’t 🤷‍♂️ and it’s not coaching malpractice. Obviously people are free to think and react how they want but for those of you that have probably morphed and changed in your life as you’ve gotten older like me. It’s a pretty miserable way to live, constantly looking for somebody to blame and in reality it really has to be a tough job.

We don’t win that game today without every one of those girls quite frankly, but in particular, Lucy Olsen and Addy O’Grady. And in my opinion, if any of us had been in charge, and that includes me. AOG wouldn’t be playing much at all, and I don’t know what I would’ve been doing with Lucy….

Jan has done a marvelous job of building confidence and moving forward. She has had to mold some precocious, talented, yet inconsistent freshman, with some capable (somewhat limited) upperclassmen that have never had to lead or create offense on their own.

And we want people benched every other quarter. I’m sure that’s good for their confidence when number 4 USC rolls into town.

She certainly isn’t infallible and I am on record about the problems with the inbounding, but I think she’s done a damn fine job. Jennie B at Oklahoma is now 4-5 in her last nine and a lot of of our fans would trade for her in a second.
