Suspended Hawkeyes did community service during suspension.

Tell me more.
ISU Actually started to play their game before severe weather stopped play, when they could not get the game resumed, they called it off. in Clown logic
game starts, complete a few plays, weather cancels game = 1 game suspension is fulfilled.

makes you wonder what would have KF done if the same had happened to Iowa's game. would he have still withheld the suspended players?

in my opinion he would still not have let them play.

Guys PAID a heavy price doing that community service on Saturday. Wow! I know I'd feel embarrassed and alienated.

Had class in early 2000s with a player who got suspended for one game. He said part of the punishment was after the game helping with the cleanup crew at Kinnick. That'd suck but I admired how KF had him do that.

For the record... according to MC... the suspended players for ISU were on practice squad for 3 weeks, weren't allowed at the team hotel during camp, etc... so they paid a price. These kids get limited opportunities to show what they can do. If the event or cause was simply a violation of team rules or something the it's not that big of a deal. Let em play... they've worked hard and probably learned their lesson.

Nobody outside either program, and no one on this board truly knows what goes on behind closed doors. Also, no one knows what KF MIGHT have done if the situation were reversed. We can speculate all we want, but the reality is no one knows because the situation is so rare (canceling a game) there is no prior history to rely upon.

For the record, I dont think the suspended ISU players should play this week, but like I said I don't know what other punishments may have been issued. Maybe MC did more, but didn't disclose it? None of us really know.

Also for the record, I like and respect what KF does with community service and not allowing suspended players at the game. Take away what is important to them.....football.

Saturday cant get here soon enough. This pissing match is nauseating. Should be a good game. Wouldn't be surprised if either team won.

Assuming they were held out of practices and team activities the week prior to the cancelled game, I'd consider that part of their suspension complete and let them participate fully in game prep this week, but I'd hold them out of the game. If you say they've served their suspension, you could argue that the whole team served a suspension as they are only playing 11 games now too.

The punishment was that they can play in one less game than the rest of the team. As it stands, they get to play in the same number of games as the rest of the team. That's some hefty punishment.

Um... yeah you clearly don't get it. I don't have the energy to try and explain it either so... have a good day
