Beer is good.Anybody have any ideas for tailgating for the 2024 season?
Ahhh, a little Psychostick!Beer is good.
That what you were looking for?
I don't know about reserve (I haven't lived in IC since graduating), but you usually won't have trouble finding a spot at the Myrtle lot if you get there a few hours before kickoff and it's in a nice enough location. Otherwise, I find a Melrose/University Heights area AirBnB if I want a full house and lawn tailgate. It all sounds so good. Thanks for the great ideas.
I should have been more clear. Does anybody know of a place I could reserve for the season to do all of the above described as I tailgate?
We park at the mennonite parking lot. Our paved spaces are reserved. The are always plenty of spots if you get there early. Approx. 8 blocks to the stadium. You can generally park at the childrens hospital parking but no grills or booze. It all sounds so good. Thanks for the great ideas.

There are a number of homes on Koser Ave (a very short walk to Kinnick) were you can reserve for the season. It all sounds so good. Thanks for the great ideas.

And have access to decent portable bathrooms. We park at the mennonite parking lot. Our paved spaces are reserved. The are always plenty of spots if you get there early. Approx. 8 blocks to the stadium. You can generally park at the childrens hospital parking but no grills or booze.
They can literally tailgate on boats out there. Do they let non-operators drink on said boats?I'm bringing a group of Huskies out for the UW-Iowa game to show them proper B1G tailgating and am starting them off with kegs of Busch Light, a tray of jell-o shots, and some Casey's breakfast pizza
Iowa City Po Po station isn't too far of a walk.It all sounds so good. Thanks for the great ideas.

The sailgating is great, but spots are somewhat limited. So you either need a friend with a boat where the operator doesn't mind being DD or you can shell out $$$ for one of the boat companies on Lake Union/Washington.They can literally tailgate on boats out there. Good point, but use them earlier than later. And have access to decent portable bathrooms.
Casey’s breakfast pizza? Do better. 😜I'm bringing a group of Huskies out for the UW-Iowa game to show them proper B1G tailgating and am starting them off with kegs of Busch Light, a tray of jell-o shots, and some Casey's breakfast pizza
Thanks. There are a number of homes on Koser Ave (a very short walk to Kinnick) were you can reserve for the season.
I have two spots reserved at 120 Koser Ave.
They are sold out and have a waiting list.We park at the mennonite parking lot. Our paved spaces are reserved. The are always plenty of spots if you get there early. Approx. 8 blocks to the stadium. You can generally park at the childrens hospital parking but no grills or booze.
Pretty sure they are sold out of reserved and paved spots, but normally have lots of spots open as mentioned above. They are sold out and have a waiting list.
Only the reserve area up above. The lower field is first come - first serve. We have friends that always park there and come up to our tailgate. We have five reserved spots, which we got the first year they offered them. They are sold out and have a waiting list.
Depends on how much you want toIt all sounds so good. Thanks for the great ideas.

Decent bathrooms, rainy days can make the lower lot interesting even if you have the right vehicle.Only the reserve area up above. The lower field is first come - first serve. AND the hay is in the barn!Vodka tonics when it's warm, single barrel bourbon when the frost is on the pumpkin!

Advisable to do an enema upon waking to avoid the dreaded "I gotta drop a deuce in Kinnick?!"And have access to decent portable bathrooms.
Agreed. Although Seattle in the Fall is pretty damned good, as well. The sailgating is great, but spots are somewhat limited. So you either need a friend with a boat where the operator doesn't mind being DD or you can shell out $$$ for one of the boat companies on Lake Union/Washington.
The tailgating scene here is decent but there's something a bit different and more magical about Iowa City on a gameday weekend
Pics of talent?I'm doing a Class B camper van with a stripper pole this year. Lot 49, stop on over
I'm going to be holding tryouts. Let you know.Pics of talent?
North and South endzone stalls aren’t too bad when turtling occurs.Advisable to do an enema upon waking to avoid the dreaded "I gotta drop a deuce in Kinnick?!"
C'mon; they splurged for doors on the stalls years ago.Advisable to do an enema upon waking to avoid the dreaded "I gotta drop a deuce in Kinnick?!"
I would never take a PD at Knnick. Important safety tip by Bob. That is why we never have Chili or Mexican at our tailgate.Advisable to do an enema upon waking to avoid the dreaded "I gotta drop a deuce in Kinnick?!"
I believe the Myrtle parking lot was converted to a "donor" reserved lot as of last season and going forward. Silver Hawk status and above.I don't know about reserve (I haven't lived in IC since graduating), but you usually won't have trouble finding a spot at the Myrtle lot if you get there a few hours before kickoff and it's in a nice enough location. Yep. Happened when they lost the lot south of Slater due to some new construction.I believe the Myrtle parking lot was converted to a "donor" reserved lot as of last season and going forward. Silver Hawk status and above.

You grill hot dogs? What do you think are in those, lol. Lips and assholes...some spices.I would never take a PD at Knnick. Important safety tip by Bob. That is why we never have Chili or Mexican at our tailgate.
Two words:Anybody have any ideas for tailgating for the 2024 season?
