Tailgating

Still way too much time until we get to watch Iowa beat Purdue. So to pass that time let's reminisce about tailgating of past games. Post a picture and year it was taken.

My favorite spot was olive ct. But also had some good times at fieldhouse lot. I will try to dig up some old pics tonight. My prime was early 2000s

I remember the 5 story beer bong and half full beer cans being thrown across a crowded parking lot, its amazing no one go seriously hurt. At one point a fat girl was showing her boobs while standing on top of a van. Poor thing had probably 20 people throwing stuff at her.

That was me holding the beer bong before the Iowa State game that season. We had a 20 foot and 40 foot version. A friend of mine still has them in his garage.

Ahhh yes.... That infamous game against ISU in 2002, my brother started a fight that probably involved 60 people men women and children were throwing haymakers... One ISU fan was totally f'ing with a buddy of mine. My brother saw this from 20 feet away standing on a bus. Chucked his full beer can at the ISU guy and the haymaker party began...... Interestingly enough the only person to get arrested was my brother........I had an extra ticket next to me for that game

Another was the Iowa vs Ohio State in 2006.......we had a 6 man epic beer bong right outside the stadium with a KC parking pass.... Yeah we were shown on the front page of the Newspaper for that one... My buddy has that one framed. My Aunt in Alabama called to inform us of the newspaper.

I would say Iowa vs PSU (first night game with the alternating sections). I just remember being outside the stadium and all the tailgates kind of molded into one big tailgate. We were walking from spot to spot and drinking and having a good time.

bad news it was a night game and I didn't live in Iowa city and got lost. Ended up on Finkbine golf course putting green. Luckily had a buddy who doesn't drink called me and some how tracked me down and gave me a lift back to the hotel. Thank god I did not get arrested. Still to this day I don't remember how I got there?
