TV Shows You Started Way After They Premiered

I’m finally getting around to watching Justified. I’m midway through season two and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows.

Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins obviously are great as Raylan Givens and Boyd Crowder. But there are lots of other great characters and the dynamic between Raylan and Art is perfect. Also, Natalie Zea as Raylan’s ex-wife Winona was at her peak milfy hotness.

Margo Martindale was great in that season. (Not for the hotness, for the character). Loved the Wynn Duffy character as well

Monk is the biggest example, I think I started it about 20 years after it debuted...

I just started watching Curb Your Enthusiasm this week. Loved Seinfeld so figured I’d finally give this one a try. Just finished season 1 and so glad I started. Really enjoying it.

House, Monk, Breaking Bad,.. Streaming Better Call Saul & Boston Legal right now...

Kobra Kai. I'm in season 5 and ready to call it quits. Seems like it just sort of is wash, rinse, repeat.

I stopped watching Game of Thrones after I made it through season 2. I had multiple people tell me I didn't give it enough of a try, and that I'd like it if I kept going. I couldn't help but laugh.
watch it till the end of the battle of the bastards and then just pretend jon snow died.

Lost

Never got into it when it aired initially. But binged it during Covid and just rewatched it all again over the course of a few months in the fall.

It’s not that old of a show, but I just binged Mystic Quest on Apple TV. I really liked it and am looking forward to the new season.
It has a couple actors from It’s Always Sunny.

I didn’t like the Wynn Duffy character much at first but as the series progresses I’m really starting to appreciate the outstanding job Jere Burns did in that role. So many great characters in this show. Raylan, Art, Wynn, and Boyd really stand out. I kind of wish they had used Gutterson a little more. His sarcastic banter with Raylan is always good stuff.

I’m most of the way through Season 4 now. The scene where Raylan brings Hunter Mosley to Duffy’s motorcoach to try to figure out who Drew Thompson really is was simply brilliant.

Forgot to mention. I watched the first season and change of Designated Survivor last summer when I was sick with COVID in a Super 8 in rural Nevada. That is a baffling show. The Kiefer Sutherland character is trying to run an administration with the tone of the Bartlet administration from The West Wing only the show opens with a terrorist attack that wipes out most of the administration and almost all of Congress at the State of the Union. It was entertaining but it was, like I said before, baffling.

Started 6 feet under recently. I'm torn. Sometimes I just want a comedy and not something dramatic. So I switch it up with Arrested Development.

Heavy when I feel heavy. Light when I feel like being light.

Game of Thrones. Constantly hearing about it was annoying so I refused to pay attention for a long time. Eventually watched the first ep and was instantly hooked.
