Terrible news for the Nunge family

Awful. These kids out so much into their craft, and parents are so necessary. I feel for that kid and his family.

Thoughts and prayers to the Nunge family. There are no words to say at a time like this other than to let the family know you are there to support them in any way that you can.

This is another reminder that when any poster wishes a painful death on anyone (or tells them to commit suicide) they should be permanently banned from Hawkeye Report.

This is a weird thing to post. It's like you think someone wished for him to die.

2020 has been such a horrible year for most of us, but especially tragic for Jack. Hang in there Jack, Hawkeye Nation is with you.

I was nearly 50 when I lost my parents. That was bad enough ... but I cannot imagine how he must be feeling right now. I feel terrible for him.

Prayers for him and his family.

I was 44 when I lost my dad. He got sick very quickly and passed within six weeks. The only positive thing I can say about it is that our immediate family was there when we took him off life support. We got to say goodbye. We called in a few of his close friends so they could come say goodbye too. I cannot imagine losing him at such a young age. It stays with me and I'm 50.

ER docs are under tremendous stress right now, much more than usual.

Gotta feel for Jack, just when he was possibly looking forward to a year when he could smile. Poor guy.

Condolences to Jack and family and you as well. Lost mine when I was 39 (71) and you're right; it sticks. I still occasionally run in to a question and instinctively start for the phone. Just a sign of how good they were.

And my condolences to you as well. Unfortunately, both my step mom and real mom both have pretty significant health issues currently. I am not sure my step mom will make it a year. They have had pretty long, happy lives at least.
