Iowa, of course, was leading A&M 2-0 until a 3 run homer allowed A&M to beat Iowa 3-2. A&M then sat back and waited for the Iowa/Houston winner; A&M beat Houston 4-3 today, giving Houston its second and final loss. A&M went 3-0 in its regional and advances to the Super Regional (Sweet 16). The Super Regional winners advance to the Elite 8 (College Baseball World Series in Omaha, NE).

When Coach Heller said Iowa could play with anybody in the country, he was not kidding.

Although it is a definite bummer that the Hawks couldn't advance out of that bracket. They were certainly right there with both Houston and A&M...a very strong showing against some very good teams.

You can't have a good payoff unless there's a good backstory. This is just the face's climb back to the top, that way when they get the gold, the fans are that much more invested. 2015 we preshowed Wrestlemania, 2016 we got it ripped from our grasp, 2017 we got on the main card. 2018 we're main eventing.

Iowa was a few bad midweek losses away from hosting in 2015 IMO.
