I actually agree with you in that situation. You've got the momentum and Oklahoma's defense was on its heals, kick the extra point and try and ride the wave into overtime.

On the road, your best bet is to take the game when you can

Normally I agree, but TCU was hot and OK was really struggling on offense the whole 4th quarter. But I do understand the conventional wisdom on the road. I just think they had so much momentum that it should have overruled the normal approach (which fits best when it's a late, one-desperation-drive-from-out-of-nowhere and the other team's offense is still functioning well)

Nah, just because certain Iowa fans are scarred from the 2009 OSU game doesn't mean all situations are the same. Take the points there and try harder in overtime.
