I liked when Till came in after Kriener's T and the announcer commented that Iowa was going to have a big challenge in the middle and saying that Till & Pemsl aren't Garza and Kriener. About the next 3 trips up and down the court, Pemsl and Till did good things. Rebounds, Pemsl scored, Till blocked a shot by Smith. Good minutes from both. I hope Iowa doesn't have many games where both Garza and Kriener are in foul trouble, but hopefully Pemsl & Till continue to give good minutes when they're needed.

4 points, 8 rebounds, 16 min, and most of all no turnovers..
played like a freshmen, sophomore scholarship player which is better then most of his appearances.
Still hesitates to shoot anything but a layup which is disturbing for a 4 year junior, but this team has no other options. Puts a lot of pressure on his teammates to finish with the shot clock winding down. This was by far his best performance of the year, hope he continues to improve because we need the bench players to contribute the rest of the season if Iowa is to make it to 10 wins in the BIG....

Pemsl is a serviceable player for around 15 minutes a game. Good passer and a decent defensive player. As long as he follows Clint's simple rule - "A man's gotsta know his limitations"

He was definitely an asset offensively. On the other end it was business as usual.

I can never not be a CP lean after that ISU game, was it last year?? Played his a$$ off and his heart out![/QUOTE Yes, it was last year against ISU. The only game he played last year, I believe. He made some crucial plays that I can confidently say we lose that game without him. Truth is, because of injuries he is a shell of himself. He's busting his ass out there and I have to give him credit for that. Many would have quit long ago in his position. I may have been harsh in past posts about calling him a bum. His work ethic makes him not that. I'm just a little fed up with someone always having to put another Pemsl post after every game.

Man, if he could even hit a 10-12 foot jumper, he could do some damage. That is the dilemma when he plays the high post. Good passer and screener but zero thereat to score from anywhere outside the restricted area. I do like him on the offensive glass and ideally to draw a few more fouls. He seems to have gotten a little savvier around the bucket accommodating for his decline in athleticism, which was marginal to begin with. I dont mean to sound negative, we need him off the bench - passing, screens and rebounds will work.

I am guessing Pemsl is frustrated; had bigger dreams than his injuries have allowed. I have almost "kicked in" the tube in response to a couple of his weaker plays. Nevertheless, he obviously maintains a desire to contribute in any way he can and you have to appreciate his intangibles. Hope he takes his last year if only because he appears to be a glue-guy... in the heat of the moment, I will want to take back that last sentence, but still!

Well, we definitely wouldn't have won this game without Pemsl in there. At what point does this guy stop receiving PT? He was atrocious at best against Illinois.

Not sure what game you were watching. He had 2 rebounds and 4 assists in 12 minutes. Was number 2 on the team in assists today and he had the best stats of anyone who came off the bench. If Pemsl was atrocious, the statistics of JT, RK, and BE had to be odoriferous.
