I was shocked by some of gratuitous nudity.
Wife bought tickets for Wicked online at our IMAX theater. We went yesterday afternoon to see it and couldn't. They had to cancel the showings.
They didn't get the DRM code for their digital copy, so they couldn't play it.
I wish I was making this up, but anti-piracy efforts literally stopped us from going to the theater to see the movie.
He said that when they got film it was usually a week in advance so they had time to splice it and make sure everything was correct. With the digital versions they get a code that works ~5min before until 5min after the showtime.
Watched Moana 2 instead.
Temptation to install a torrent client and find Wicked for a showing on the projector in the backyard is high.
Sooo… how was Moana 2? I am more interested in that than I am wicked.
Are you serious about the DEI hire or trying to be funny?I had to pass.
Artistic license is often a cringy thing to me, and hearing the DEI hire playing Elphaba (yes I said the truth and stay outraged if it bothers you) do the American Idol over the top vocal scaling with the well-known final notes of Defying Gravity made me roll my eyes even though I knew it was going to happen before I heard it, but it made me roll my eyes anyway.........
I can see there are some aspects of the movie worth praising, but it's like Barbie. It's not for me.
Also, to reiterate about the DEI comment......
Someone replying: "Rawr rawr rawr maybe she was the best fit blah blah blah"
A. I don't give a f***, B. This is my only post in this thread so yelling at a wall will give you a better chance of hearing a response than if you cry to me about my factual DEI comment. Hope that helps!

Also, again because it needs to be said,Are you serious about the DEI hire or trying to be funny?
We were all entertained (3rd grader, 5th grader and 7th grader).
I feel like the first one might have been funnier, only saw it once, but I just recall more amusing bits for the Rock.
