That last 17 seconds was pure trash

Why is Connor part of the "offensive" unit.

Seriously, why the fvck is he in there instead of Perkins?

He can't drive or shoot.

Fran needs to be honest with himself.

Connor is not a top ten player on this team.

Because we're the Fighting McCafferys...

Just said something about that sequence in another thread. Absolute embarrassment that one of the most potent offensive units in the NCAA can't even get a shot off. I've consistently been frustrated with the level of effort and lack of defense, but I'm probably more pissed about rotations and the complete ineptitude of our coaching staff to not adjust ever....for years....literally the same shi* continuously happens. I like Fran and he's done wonders for the program, but we gotta shuffle something up in the offseason. 0 denfense, second half season collapses, inability to develop player lineups to match the game flow....

If I never have to watch JorBo bring the ball up the court at 0 mph more focused on looking cool than actually getting the offense into a rhythm, it'll be too soon.

That Touss didn't play the entire 2nd half is one of the most baffling things I've seen in a while.

Can't stand his arrogant approach. They drain a 3 to get within 4 and he gives a darnit look and walks it up.

CMAC's cult following is going to tell you about his 4-1 assist to TO ratio. I can see CMAC to close a game that you have a lead, but not when you are behind.

I like JBO, but he might have given up 30pts the way he got abused.

same thing vs Indiana. Didn’t come in until under 2 when game was over. But don’t worry his sons both play more minutes than they deserve. Patrick played well tonight but hasn’t done much rest of conference play this year and Conner’s play on both ends of the floor doesn’t warrant the minutes he receives.

JT has to be the player bringing the ball up the court when behind and need a quick bucket. He can get to the rim. It was painful to watch Conor bring the ball up the court the last few minutes when he can’t break anyone down or get to the rim.

it reminded me the end of regulation at Minnesota. Tied with under 6 seconds and instead of getting ball in our fastest guys hands (Toussaint) to push it up the floor we give it to Bohannon who trots it up the floor and jacks up a 30 footer.

Fran was subbing offense for defense and was bringing Connor in as part of the offensive unit....and he's the worst scorer on the team.

That would be an indication of a lack of connection to reality on Frans part.

CMAC played 27 minutes. When he's playing the "4" in small ball, he is outmatched inside and when he's playing
PG, he's at a serious quickness disadvantage.

Fran did sub defensively in last 2 minutes, but I'm thinking he needed to go
with a defensive unit as soon as they blew that 11 pt lead. I don't think CMAC as a role player has a role in either a defensive lineup or offensive lineup. I could see CMAC if Iowa was nursing a lead, which we weren't.

Fran needs to look in the mirror and admit to himself he is pushing wrong buttons and turning wrong knobs. They've lost 3 of the last 4 and barely beat a two conference win MSU team.

FM just proved that using a quick backcourt was effective and necessary last game as it was required to beat MSU. That he couldn't realize that tonight is inexcusable. This one is on the coaches.

We may not have won with another unit, but it was clear that the starting five wasn't the answer for much of the second half. It is inexcusable to not try to mix it up, especially as the 11 point lead quickly evaporated.

Oh I agree.

But that last minute of the game after we forced a TO and we got the ball back needing to score quick, that moment was a realization for me.

Fran took Ulis, Perkins, Touissant out and he brought Connor back in, of all people Connor.

Who in their right mind thinks Connor gives you a better opportunity to score quickly over the guys that were out there?

And Iowa proceeded to embarrasse themselves.

It became clear to me he is not capable of being objective when it comes to his sons.

This is the year. Fran and the players have to realize that. It's now or never. No point in making these changes in the off season when you won't have the player of the year coming back. Make some decisions and changes now. Get a sense of urgency. They've already screwed up what could have been a magical conference season. Now they have to do what it takes to make something happen in the tournament. Otherwise they will have wasted what was the best opportunity of Fran and these players' careers.
