I was watching a replay of Iowa-Purdue from 1987 on kcrg 9.2 and the game was tied with around 8 minutes left and they posted a screen that said the game remained close and Iowa won 70-67 and the replay ended.

This reminds me of watching game recaps on any Sioux City news station. They'll show 1 or 2 highlights of a team and then just casually mention they got beat 63 to 0.

I never watch the endings anyway. There’s always a chance that the other team could win the game.
