THC Drinks Growing in Eastern Iowa

They've got 10mg ones from Climbing Kites now too. I dig em. Gives a great alternative for a post-work beverage over drinking anything w/ alcohol.

With some of the delta gummies/candies I've noticed that I'm pretty damn groggy the next morning and have a more difficult time waking up to work out. With the drinks, I don't have that. I like them a lot.
Climbing Kites is the brand I bought, I didn't see any 10mg ones though. Where did you find the 10 mgs at?

This is great. Hopefully it kicks in faster than the gummies.
Much faster, I had half a can on Wednesday night and felt it before I poured the 2nd half of the can over ice. Very nice. If you want something that kicks in really fast get these in Illinois. They kick in as fast as smoking.

They’ve got them at Happy’s in Cedar Falls. When they first came out a few weeks ago, Local Craft posted that they had the 10mg ones. The colors on the can are slightly darker than the 2.5/5mg ones but the cans do all look very similar.

What effect will Climbing Kites have on me?

Hemp and marijuana are both legal names for the cannabis plant. Cannabis that contains less than 0.3% THC is called hemp, and cannabis that contains 0.3% THC or more is called marijuana. But besides that, hemp and marijuana are the same. So CK's hemp-derived THC and CBD are the exact same as the THC and CBD found in marijuana. So yes, it will affect you like marijuana. This isn't a similar, but less potent, THC/CBD compound or a synthesized compound; it's the real deal.

We have designed Climbing Kites to be a low-dose THC/CBD beverage. Most customers describe a “light buzz” or simply a happy feeling from a single can. And, of course, the more you drink, the stronger the effects. That said, like caffeine or alcohol, THC and CBD affect people differently. If you are new to THC/CBD products, we recommend starting with our 2.5mg version.

As with alcohol, you should not operate a vehicle or machinery after consuming THC/CBD products.

Fun fact for anyone in the Cedar Valley area.....Happy's is going to be opening a CBD and Home Brewing store a couple doors down from their spot now. Found that out this weekend from the owner. Hoping they'll be able to get some of the THC drinks from Modist up in Minneapolis.

Haha. Apparently, this noob douche bag thinks I’m some other poster named colonoscopy. Trying to make a name for himself by shooting upwards. Doesn’t even know who Yellowsnow is. BAU. Doesn’t even know what BAU is either I bet. What a want of bee.

Interesting, I’ll have to try some of these modern tonics. I’m a little concerned if we keep discussing these things in GIAOT that Kimmy will mobilize her weed gestapo and clean house, so let’s be careful folks.

It's because it's one of the only legal loopholes available in Iowa right now.
If they legalized weed tomorrow, people largely wouldn't bother with THC drinks.
A lot of people still would. I know quite a few people that prefer the drinks or gummies to smoking. Some people don't really want to smoke and deal with that in your lungs if you don't have to.

Smoking and vaping are both a massive turnoff for me. I can just hear the class action commercial now: “did you vape between the years 2015 and 2030? If so call the lawyers of X and Y now.”

Picked up some 10 mg Climbing Kites from Johncy's in North Liberty over lunch today. Looks like they are going to make more of an effort to stock it full time.

They keep messing around with crap that matters to casuals and not degenerates. Most degenerates want the option of a potent product with 0 frills and near 0 calories. Everything potent available in this hemp-derived THC market is needlessly loaded with sugar to make them more attractive as edible products. Everything low calorie is like a 10mg seltzer where degens would die of belching-related asphyxiation before feeling a tingle. How about a 50 or 100 mg seltzer with a flavor somewhere in between tap water and La Croix?

I couldn't imagine taking 100mg of any sort of Delta THC product. Delta hits me differently. I can do 100mg of normal THC and be super stoned and happy, but I don't think I would enjoy that with Delta.

I thought delta 9 thc was the same was marijuana thc, and delta 8 was what was a different compound.

Delta 9 THC is what is thought of as THC. There is often a big difference in what you notice for the effects of products labeled for supposedly the same THC amounts. Sometimes the products have other cannabinoids like CBD that dull the effects of the THC, sometimes it may be about how rapidly you digest a given product. I think there's probably also inconsistency in labelling between manufacturers.

There is a product in hemp edibles, "live resin" delta 9, which is definitely a step up from delta 9 if you compare similar products from the same manufacturer.

Fun to jump into this thread because my wife and I got for first time ever into the edibles Bigly in Montana two weeks ago. We now have been getting Delta 9 edibles here in town with no prescription needed. Been fun. Worked just as good as the “real” stuff you need a prescription every six months for (in FL). Dropping weight too from not drinking near as much last three weeks and sleeping well (great dreams).
