The Bison are a cocky bunch

What have they said more recently? That thread is from last January.

The Bison travel awfully well. There were a great many of them in the stands at Trice a couple of years ago, likewise at Manhattan the year before that.

I saw them play at UNI two years ago -- the dome was packed and the game was very good. UNI won the game, giving them their only loss that year. That was the year the Iowa beat UNI 31-23. NDSU was a little banged up and UNI was healthy. David Johnson was the difference in the game and we all know how good he is. Personally I think it will be a good game. The best thing the first two games did for Iowa was allow them to play a lot of second line players to gain some experience at game speed. Iowa's depth should make a difference.

I don't about delusion but NDSU has a far cooler mascot. The mighty North American Bison is maybe the coolest mascot/nickname you could have. Certainly both more frightening and intimidating, we well as being somewhat more bon vivant than a Bugeater or whatever the hell that mascot is in Lincoln. I mean, do you really want to go helmet to helmet with this guy?

Fortunately Hawks can soar above collision and speed past bison.
They are pretty amazing creatures. I se them in close every summer in Custer State Park. It's fortunate that they didn't become extinct.

Good thing is if your mascot is to sick to go the day of the game, you can just go up into the stands and grab any NDSU fans wife to replace it.

I am sooooo disappointed in you Lakes. Watching you troll the crap out of ISU for month and months months was an offseason full of entertainment for me. Have you "lost a step" in the two years since you beat ISU? I mean what gives here? The only explantion I can think of is you just don't believe in your Bizon up against the Hawks like you did when they were going to ISU

I don't think most NDSU fans expect to win this game. I expect us to lose by 10, and many are expecting us to lose by more. Every message board has it's homers, and most NDSU fans root for Iowa when we are watching FBS games.

I just hope the beer's good here, and there are no injuries tomorrow.

(Also, Microsoft's offices in Fargo are the second largest in the world. Something like 3200 employees between contract workers and actual Microsoft employees. It's where I work.)

most NDSU fans dont root for freakin Iowa haha.

Mostly Minnesota im guessing with sprinkles of Nebraska/Wisc. never ever seen 1 Iowa fan in Fargo sorry

Then you must not get around much in Fargo.

Iowa/Nebraska/Wisconsin. I haven't met a lot of Minnesota fans, probably some hard feelings from the way they treated us when we traveled there. Lost a game on a fluke (Blocked FG) to them, and you would assume they won by 40 by the way their fans were acting.
