The recent hurricane damage in Texas, Florida, Puerto
Rico, the earthquake in Mexico, and now the tragic
mass murders in Las Vegas....are all reminders of the
brevity of human life on this earth.

Our mortal human lives need to be seen as gift from
God. We need to live each day as a special blessing
from Him. Our time on this earth should be used to
help others in a meaningful way.

Unfortunately, the young think that life on this earth
will last forever. For those who are middle age, it
is mortality that stares them in the face and the
prospect that their life is perhaps half over. All of
us need to evaluate our priorities in order to make
an impact on the people who need our help the
most.

Tom was only 66. Too young.

Americans are more interested in the quality of life.
So this means that quantity of life is not as important.
We want our life to be filled with gusto and the number
of years are not that essential.

"Brevity"?

I think "Frailty" is the word you want here...
