I've felt they tried to give Niang the benefit of the doubt for as long as they could before calling fouls 3 & 4 on him.
Really? Only one I saw that was a question was Niangs screen but technically it was a foul
4th looked to be all ball. yeah, he bumped him going to the lane, but they've been letting that go all night. might get away from them with both scorers on the bench
and whoever at Nike that came up with the "always reppin'" thing should be fired, and then punched in the face
they might have had a chance in this game if they had someone who was able to play defense inside. mckay doesnt seem to have any idea how to guard that big white guy..

There were definitely questionable calls, but they went in spurts against both teams. Iowa State got killed in the post and couldn't ever recover from Virginia's hot start. That was the difference.

I think tonight you saw the importance of Niang. That guy is a great college basketball player and irreplaceable.
I'm just happy that we probably won't see a flood of Iowa State posters over here to turn these threads into 10 page pissing matches.
Um, they'll still be here gloating that they have the same number of wins as Iowa in the last two NCAA tourneys. We beat two 10 seeds and they beat a 13 and a 12, so our wins are better.

I was really impressed with UVa. Officials had no effect on this game. There are always questionable calls, both ways. ISU played no defense, got down big early, could never recover. This game was over in the first 10 minutes. Good season for ISU. Will miss Niang. Players like him dont come around very often.
Their team of the century ducks out in blowout fashion in the sweet 16. Ouch. Sucks to play someone higher than a 12 seed....
And Iowa's team of the century went down to mighty Northwestern State in the first round. Congrats. Are you really making fun of Iowa State for losing in the Sweet 16? When was the last time Iowa made it that far, 20-30 years ago?
Beating a 13 and a 12 is running the gauntlet I tell ya!!! At least ISU beat a 13 seed, progress for them
