For a long time I've done the following for game week. I have no delusions that it affects anything, but I do it anyway.
During the week leading up to the game, I don't wear a shirt with the opponent's color(s) on it. Then, on Friday, I wear a Hawkeye shirt to work. Game day I obviously have full Hawkeye regalia on (shirt, hat, coat, neck gator as needed, etc.).
This week I've obviously been avoiding red and yellow shirts. Today is Friday...so I'm wearing a Hawkeye polo at work. But I just realized...it's black (even worse, it has white pinstripes). At least it has a gold "IOWA" on it. So...am I wearing ISU colors or not? It's the colors of their uniforms tomorrow. Does the small "IOWA" outweigh the colors of their uniforms? Did they do this just to thwart me?
