I’d be interested in visiting Minnesota - but in the summer of course.
It’s a true but never pleasant fact that America’s major urban areas do have crime. If I ever visit Minneapolis I’d try to find out in advance where the crime stats are highest and avoid those areas altogether.

My DIL’s family have cottages in western MN and my son thinks it’s very nice - in the summer.
