Think about how wrong that is.

Over two million federal workers in 2024. And this is just civilian workers. If uniformed military members were included it would be even worse.

Walmart is #2 with 1.6 million workers nationwide. Amazon follows with 1.1 million U.S. employees, more than double UPS which is the third largest private employer (443,000 employees).

Walt Disney World is the largest single-site employer in the U.S. with 80,000 cast members.

Wrong? Lol we need more federal workers.

What the hell are all these people doing?
Keeping our national parks clean and habilitating.

Delivering our mail.

Writing out social security checks.

Overseeing the safe keeping of our nuclear weapons.

Providing services to many of our lesser capable citizens.

I know you have problems with many of these programs. I’m guessing you’d like a more….spartan approach. Throwing babies off a cliff if they don’t meet your eye test.

Guess we will have to agree to disagree.

No one is "writing" social security checks. Good grief.

Well considering the folks that deliver our mail are in a different group than the rest of the fed employees you can scratch that off your list.

…and if we are paying people to write out social security checks….we have real issues.

Congress could end the USPS, give all that business to Amazon.com, and America would probably save a lot of money.
What in the ever loving hell gives you that impression? It’s probably the same thinking that thinks a private company would be interested to such non profiting ventures such as facilitating our national parks.

Our mail is a service. It’s not designed to turn a profit. Same as our military. It’s there to be of service to America.

Why is that concept so hard for you? Outside of the military?

Different group? Are they a federal service or not?

Is there a reason you feel the need to trigger the dipshits over and over?

Snail mail is as outdated as phone booths and pagers. Time to join the 21st century and leave that to the dustbin of history.

So you think Amazon is set up to transport mail from coast to coast and internationally, Sort mail and accurately distribute it worldwide and then deliver it to all the rural homes across the country. You really pulled this one out of your ass.

So you’re saying the USPS needs to upgrade their mail system. Agreed. So long as people who haven’t upgraded are able to receive their mail.

Sounds like you want the government to mandate everyone get rid of their mail.

As part of the deal, Amazon would absorb the USPS and all their facilities and trucks, as well as any postal workers who wanted to come along for the ride.

Oh, and the union would go away, too.

Man, I can just smell the efficiencies here.....
