Horrible spots all day. A couple of firsts that we should have been awarded, a few that they should not have. By their last drive I just took it for granite that they would give them an extra yard.
Well he does have the avatar for it...Fitting WOB, as that sideline official must have been "stoned".
My impression was that it was more of a schist.Horrible spots all day. A couple of firsts that we should have been awarded, a few that they should not have. By their last drive I just took it for granite that they would give them an extra yard.

I thought the same thing. The ESPN announcers commented but didn't show a replay and moved on...The refs gifted Indiana a 1st down before they scored their touchdown, Howard's knee was down short of the 1st down line on the 4th and 1. Why no review there is absurd, did anyone else get upset why the review booth did not buzz down?
Was that the one the announcers harped on? Wasn't that on 3rd down though? I remember being a little upset they didn't review, but thinking they would have probably gotten it on the next play anyway. The refs gifted Indiana a 1st down before they scored their touchdown, Howard's knee was down short of the 1st down line on the 4th and 1. Since we won it is easier to talk about, but Doodle was saying to Mrs. Doodle that he could think of maybe 10 or 12 times in all the years of watching football where the spot truly made you yell at the TV, "Where the hell are you placing that ball!?!?" And yesterday that lifetime total went up by at least 50% in the course of ONE game!
I'm with you. I don't think his knee was down either. What Howard was, was extremely fortunate that he had a couple of O-linemen to land on to keep him from hitting the ground, because without that, he is definitely going sideways and going down behind the line of scrimmage.Well, I might get stoned by some of you people for saying this ... but I don't think Howard's knee was down.
I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but I ran it back a few times and I could not see where it was down. Sure would have been nice if he had been called down.
They "harped" on several of them, as they should have. I think Iowa might have challenged 1 time IIRC. Honestly, with all the bad spots, this game could have went on for another hour had they all been reviewed. Was that the one the announcers harped on? Wasn't that on 3rd down though?
