If those were just Cherry picked results, what are some that you were spot on about PSU wrestlers?

1.)So what is your prediction for Martinez vs Nolf 2? Looked to me like Nolf is a bad match-up for IMar, just doesn't look like he has the gas tank to keep up with Nolf for a full 7 but we will see. IMar was able to beat Green by riding him, he's not going to ride Nolf.

2.) Conaway was round of 12 in 2013 when he last went at 33, do you really think he hasn't improved since then? The field at 33 is solid this year but not as good as 2013 when Stieber beat Ramos yet again, also last years champ Brewer was 7th in 13.

3.) Stieber wasn't well in the first match with Retherford only after getting ridden like a rented mule during the entire 2nd period. If LS was just sick in the first meeting with ZR, why did he chose neutral in the subsequent matches? Why not show everyone he was just ill the first time, why not show he could get out from bottom? I'll hand it to LS and to Ryan, they were smart enough to avoid those words made famous by Frank Molinaro, "I chose down", and it worked.

MSU158, I have read many of your posts on this board and on The Mat and consider you a very knowledgeable wrestling fan. Having said that, it appears to me that some PSU fans over on The Mat have got your goat so much so that your analysis of just about everything PSU wrestling is mostly flawed and negative.

As far as Nevills, I believe CS said in an interview that the decision to wrestle or not was up to Nick, and that he was talking it over with his family. This is hardly just a wrestling decision, some people don't want to attend college for 6 years. How good will he be if he wrestles, we may get a chance to find out. I wouldn't expect him to be able to beat Coon or Snyder, but it would be surprising to me if he wasn't competitive with guys like Stoll, Smith, Kroells and Black.

A well scripted post. Nevills came to PSU to wrestle, his team needs him, and why sit back and hope for a healthy future if you are healthy now. I'm guessing Cael believes this is the most competitive the team race will be in the next few years, and wants to maximize his points.

I agree with MSU. I wouldnt waste this kids season this late in the game unless its clear he wont get the medical. PSU doesnt need him or his few points at nationals at all.

I hope Cael wrestles him and gets that eligibilty clock going because id easily trade this year for a back end one. . He has no chance at any decent seeding. Even if he gets 3rd in the bigs his lack of matches is going to just destroy his NCAA seedings.

Really as Iowa fans we should be thrilled that JoJo got his shirt taken away and that Cael is likely doing this!

No way can this be best for the kid or the team but doesnt matter because Caels ego is saying I will just over recruit when it comes back t That PSU team is loaded with deep horses, its just fine with no qualifier at HWT. I have no idea if being medically cleared to wrestle throws a monkey wrench into the 6th year or not. I do know the decision to wrestle or not was left to Nick and his parents.

PSU Positives:
I picked D. Alton to AA high his 1st year.
I picked Molinaro to win it all his senior year.
I picked PSU to place 6th last year.
I picked Ruth to win it all 3 years, but admittedly expected Amuch to make their match much closer.
I always said Wright would perform much better than his regular season results.
I picked Brown over Evans multiple times.(regrettably so).
I am not going to search for every dual prediction I have made, but I know I at the very least pick 7 out of 10 correctly.

PSU Negatives:
I picked Jenkins to beat Taylor.
I picked Dake over Taylor every time.
As much as I liked Megaludis, I never picked him to win it all. If not for Gilman, I would gladly see him win it all.
I picked A. Alton to falter.
I didn't want D. Alton to falter, but eventually had to call it so.
I picked Gulibon to falter this year.


I like to make predictions. I like to talk wrestling. I am honestly NOT anti-PSU. The problem is so many PSU fans that post consider anything less than anointing them as UNBEATABLE is hateful and flawed.

I have said multiple times that they are very good and should be the current favorite. I simply don't swing from Cael's testicles and think they are beatable. I really think Smith and OkState are due and like how he has had his guys peaking at NCAA's the past couple seasons. He now has the best team he has had in a while and I think he will get it done. If that is anti-PSU, than I guess I am anti-PSU!

You have been a little hot and heavy for the Pokes all year, but they did seem scary good for sometime before Brock suffered the injury. NN has plenty of skill and is the right size for Cael to get a feel as to if he can or cannot contribute significantly.

Come on, hasn't Trump taught us anything about being so damn PC. Lets be honest. I hope that is the case. It is not like the Lehigh kid is going to do a fatality move on him. I hope the situation blows up in Cael's face embarrassing him and the PSU program. Then having recruits look at the move in absolute horror. This could be the start of then end. Parents and recruits would see right through Cael's selfish nature and they would never be able to sign another top recruit. We know Cael can't coach and they would be B1G bottom dwellers in no time.

Don. I have respect for your posts and to answer your question yes I am a PSU and Iowa Hawkeye fan. I am a wrestling fan. I am also unashamed to admit that ISU is my first team of choice in college wrestling. Bash away- you can't say anything about Cyclone wrestling my dark side hasn't already considered. I wish I could disown ISU, but I can't. PSU people seem to be a little more live and let live than are Iowa fans. I will remain a huge fan of the Iowa wrestlers no matter how much hatred I absorb here. Thomas Gilman and Sammy Brooks make me smile. They wrestle how everyone should aspire to wrestle. I'm really increasing my fandom orf Stoll as well. This big guy is going to be real special, and may just end up a Greco nightmare for the entire world to see some day in the future.
