....end up 6-5 and have momentum going into the final seven regular season Big Ten games.

A three game winning streak, our first road win in the Big Ten (Rutgers), and the guys know they can play with or without Jok, and that should free him up a little as well.

It would make the trip to Minnesota very interesting, and frankly I think what could be a key game in the process of our guys learning (for the most part) just how good they can be.

Let me add, if we pull off an unlikely but very possible two more wins in a row? I'll be ready to say we no longer have any freshmen playing on this team. Only guys who have seen the elephant, including some who are now sophomores in terms of experience.

Crazy how close this team was to being 7-3 right now in the B1G with a chance to be 8-3 after Sunday. I love it. We all said that if the development goes as we hope it goes, this would not be a team you want to play in February or March. I hope they keep getting better. I know they will.

I know I have read a lot of comments about playing 8-9 guys max and playing 11 is crazy.
Last night we played 11 guys and completely wore Rutgers down. There big guy looked like he was
going to pass out right on the floor. Our depth moving forward will win us a lot of games down the stretch.

The Hawkeye bench has real depth. It enables Iowa
to wear down other teams. When you can play 11 guys
and not blow a big lead, then you have an excellent
bench. Coach Fran also knows that everyone wants
some playing time in each game. A satisfied team will
player harder and win more games.

Iowa was just as close to being 3-7 as 7-3, but I get what you are saying. Iowa has had 5 B1G games where it was tied or within 1 possession with 2 minutes to go. Iowa is 3-2 in those games (beat Rutgers, Michigan, Purdue, lost to Maryland and Nebraska).

Team is definitely making progress. Next couple of weeks will show us how much they have improved.

I like the press with the goal of wearing teams down and taking time off the shot clock. They can extend and play that way with their depth. I think most decent teams can break/attack an aggressive press, so as long as we don't get overly aggressive and take crazy risks that allow easy baskets, its a good way to play people and utilize the depth it appears we have.

I hope we increase the constant motion offense. Quit standing around. Play 11-12 players and wear the other team out. Loved the amount of motion we played with against Rutgers.
