The Walking Dead

Everyone who dies "turns." They know this and yet went to a highly populated area where a lot of them will be roaming. Call me crazy, but I would head for a less populated area (think Rockies) where there is fresh water and game. Oh, less people means less zombies there. Hiding behind a wall where "things" can find you and where you have to go out amongst those things to get supplies just doesn't seem smart. But, probably less entertaining for a TV show.

we don't know if Rick has had the conversation with Abraham, Daryl, and Sasha....I would assume that conversation is coming in the next episode or two. The show doesn't really make large jumps in time in one shot. They numbers are not dwindling so much as to now everyone in Alexandria seems to be on the same page, and know they have to fight to survive. Also, new friendly characters are on the way, and a new place to stay is also on the way.
The Sanctuary is mainly in tact. only one wall was compromised, and that is where the church steeple fell. Easy fix.

Also the hostility is new found hostility. And there is no sign yet of how big Negan's group is. Even with the Governor, his group of fighters was relatively small compared to how many people actually lived n Woodbury.
It's pointing to Daryl getting 'offed' or taking off on his own. He'll leave some big shoes to fill, if it is him.

To stay in Alexandria or move on? Doesn't matter, there are dangers around every corner in the ZA. You could die just as easily on the road tomorrow. One thing for sure, a place like Alexandria will have a bulls eye on it from every group that comes wondering through the area. Who wouldn't want to take that place?

Agree with the Rocky Mountain take. For them it would be the Appalachians. Hunker down up in the mountains away from civilization. Wouldn't make for a very entertaining show though.

Yes, on garbage. Like Boondock Saints 2.

According to IMDB:
He was in Charmed for a couple of episodes, Law and Order, various other TV shows
"Detective in Morgue" in American Gangster
many of his roles have one name, like "Marco" or "Archie"
He was recently in "The Pawn Shop Chronicles" and "Sunlight Jr."
He was the trucker (credited as "Trucker") in the new Vacation movie, and I presume he got that solely because of TWD.

Simply put, he may have stayed busy, but not in good works.

But that's what working actors want. To work consistently. "Good work" is all subjective.
TWD is making him a larger star, and he IS being asked to do larger projects.

It's like how some lawyers become ambulance chasers. yes...it's shitty work, but it keeps you working and keeps the bank account in the positive.

Daryl killed a Savior scouting group. They probably had a preset recon zone so Negan will most likely know the general location they are in. But on the other hand this is the Zombie apocalypse so it probably isn't that unusual for scouting groups to go missing. Even in Rick's group plenty members have either been killed or been captured while doing basic supply runs.

He's too loyal to Rick to just take off. Either he will die........or not.

I could see them taking out Abraham. Why? Because Abraham will intentionally butt heads with Negan......and I think Negan takes him down as an example.

For the record.....Boondock is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I have no idea how people looked at that film and saw greatness. But that's not on the actors, you're only as strong as the script lets you be. The film should have never been made, period.
Even Wilhem DaFoe sucked in that film....and he is known for being a damn good actor.

I'm not trying to argue about Norman Reedus' career here, but his lack of acting talent is observable, but mostly covered up by his brooding/rarely speaking character, plus he looks better filthy. He is awkward and giggles in any interview.

And with all due respect, good work is not really subjective. The Oscars are subjective, whether Boondock Saints is a good movie or not (or any of his other hot garbage) is not, they aren't good.

Also, TWD has been the "biggest show on TV" for a few years now and his new-ish projects are: Air, Sky (Canadian), Vacation as the trucker, and a new John Hillcoat, which is by far his biggest "get".

I am a bit surprised more of the actors haven't been poached for bigger roles, but he is the most popular actor and still gets garbage roles. Shit, good for him, keep on keeping on. I'm just saying he is a shit actor, shit movies need shit actors, they go well together.

You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the locals and the zombies.

I don't get all the love for Daryl. He is basically a cheat code in the show. He has the perfect weapon, makes no sound, kills instantly from afar, and has (apparently) unlimited ammo. He is somehow completely trained in tracking anything and everything and is one with the woods in a way that makes everything extremely easy for him, even socially (see: no sexual tension). He even has the perfect vehicle for himself, a motorcycle that never has any problems that he can't fix and never really attracts zombies.

What weaknesses have they made for him? Brooding once in a while? I get why he is there, he is just a cheat code to fix their bad situations (see: Bazooka).

His crossbow is gone....it was taken a couple episodes ago. He has run out of arrows in past episodes and has had to use a knife. Also if you watch his fight scenes...he pulls the arrows out of the walkers he kills, in order to use them again. His character was established as a hunter/tracker/outdoorsman/redneck/motorhead in the very first episode that he appeared in.(episode #3) He has had sexual tension with Carol in Season 3, and Beth in Season 4......although very minor tension at that.
His motorcycle HAS broken down in past episodes...and that is gone now too. He doesn't attract zombies, because he is a skilled hunter and knows how to move silently when tracking his prey.

His weakness is that he cares deeply for everyone in the group.

The RPG(a bazooka is far larger) was found by Abraham. Daryl just happened to be the one that was taken in back of the truck when the scouts for Negan stopped them in the road. It wasn't a "cheat code".....he just happened to be the one who was in possession of the truck when they came back to the problem at Alexandria.

Don't confuse "entertaining" (which is probably still debatable for Boondock) with "greatness".

Yes, I understand. They created the perfect character for the show, like I said, he is a walking cheat code. He just happened to be the guy that is always the guy in the position to save everybody with his super-skills. And this time we don't even see them, and do you know why? Because we don't need to, we KNOW that he would overpower and kill (completely silently and unnoticed) any guy who has guarding him. That is my point, we don't even worry about him, because we know there is nothing to worry about.

Well somebody has to. Rick gets his ass kicked a couple times a season.

Off the top of my head Rick is 1-1-1.

Fought Shane to a draw in the parking lot, was about to get choked to death by the Governor in front of the prison, and even drunk Pete messed him up pretty bad.

It seems to me he has been punched out more than once. I'm probably wrong though. Can I count Michone knocking him out from behind? :)

I think they will let Abraham live longer in the show than the comics. In the comics he was killed by Negan's top man, Dwight. Kirkman has said he regrets killing him off so soon. I guess it will be either Glenn, Darryl, or Morgan that will be killed by Neegan. I think Morgan would be a bit of a easy choice, as he is not really an original, even though he was on the first show. Fans are so mad about Glenn's fake death that I do not think they will put fans through that. Glenn also is sort of the "moral compass" of the show, so I think they will keep him. So, I think Darryl is a very likely choice. Plus, this show is becoming more and more like the comics, and Darryl is not in the comics, so it makes sense that way too. Personally, I think it is Glenn's time to go; but I do not think that will happen.

I believe there is a 0% chance of Rick, Carl, Carol, or Michonne dying anytime soon.

I think one or two other characters like Rosita, Sasha, Tara, or Eugene, will be killed too, but that will not be the "big death." Also, you know a few more Alexandrians will kick the bucket as well. With a few exceptions (Heath, Aaron, the chick doctor, etc.)They are basically used as "redshirts," from Star Trek, or the survivors on Lost that hardly or never spoke.

Don't forget that Jesus is on the way....and we haven't met the Whisperers yet either(far deadlier than Negan)
Glenn has had too many close calls....I think his number is up at the end of the season........however, Stephen Yuen just signed a new contract with the show.....so who knows who is going out. But we KNOW that someone big is dying towards the end of the season.Could it be Daryl? I think so....his story has arched.....but he's also Rick's right hand man.......which is Glenn's role in the comics.

Rick beat Tyreese silly at the prison. He has his good days and his bad days.

I seem remember the fight being even until Daryl stepped in. Rick used the distraction to beatdown Tyreese. Rick does better when he can get the jump on people. Like when he bite out Joe's jugular. Completely unexpected.

But in straight-up fist fights he has a lot of room to improve.

Tyreese took two hard sucker punches while Rick was trying to talk to him, knocking Rick down. Daryl grabbed Tyreese and Rick took a sucker punch knocking Tyreese down. Rick then kicked and beat him into a bloody pulp. But yes, you are right. Rick's not a real big guy and when fighting larger guys he sometimes takes a beating while dishing one out.
