They're getting soft on CF again

ISU lives and dies by the 3 and plays ZERO defense. If the 3s aren't falling then ISU is done. Watching ISU is liking watching a pickup game at the YMCA ... Chuck the 3 ... or try to make a 1 on 1 highlight reel drive down the lane ... and then play no defense ... If the 3s aren't falling then ISU is done ... They are really bad ...

I don't know guys, maybe it's time to take ISU off our schedule going forward. Do we really need to play a home and away with a quad 3 program? Perhaps we can replace them with Drake or UNI. At least those games will help build our tournament resume.

The win in Ames is a Quad 2 win and is pretty close to being a Quad 1 win.

But, but, but the lightning storm, the refs, it’s Iowa’s Super Bowl, Big 10 West sucks. ISU is really the better team with better players, better coaches and a superior AD. Am I doing this right from a Clone perspective?

I will admit I was wrong about whatever I said.

And then as I stood on the ground, my feet began to get cold and I worried, was I having a circulation issue? Was I in danger? As I started to look around I noticed, Hell had indeed froze over ;)
I appreciate your honesty, it won’t play well at CF and it may get you in trouble with some there.

No way around it Iowa has kicked Iowa States ass the last 2 games. Tyrese is still a stud and so it Garza. Iowa is a better team than I have them credit for to begin the season. I still say Lewis can shoot the 3 better than Evelyn lol

Just off the top of my head without looking at stats for Iowa I would say.
C- Garza
F- Conditt
G- Bolton or Joe W
G- CJF
C- Tyrese

This has to be a joke. Anyone who thinks Bolton and Weiskamp are on the same level has no basketball common sense. There is a reason Iowa is head and shoulders better than the clones without 2 starters and it's because of CJ, Weiskamp and Garza. Conditt hasn't even done anything yet so basically you pick him based on potential, not actual game performance.

Clones will be lucky to win 13 games this year but somehow you think 3 of the clone starters would start for Iowa...

I know very little about ISU's roster, but Iowa could win twice as many games as ISU this year and you basically have them evenly split.

Your contention that Bolton and Joe W are essentially equal tells me all I need to know about this list of yours.

Have you seen Hayes's posts? He thinks Solo is awesome. He's also on twitter, tweets at potential Iowa recruits, then turns around to ISU fans on CyFan and gets made at ISU fans for tweeting at ISU players.

Garza, CJF, Tyrese, and Joe without a doubt are the best four and it's not even debatable.
I'd say the PF spot would be a close between Kriener and Conditt, but right now I'd lean Kriener who is averaging better FG% despite shooting 3s as well, FT%, and better Ortng and Drtng. If you want more blocks, Conditt is your man.

Supposedly, Mr. Cyclone (Randy Peterson) made a comment on a dsm radio show yesterday that if Haliburton goes pro Conditt may transfer out.

You’re an f-ing moron. Bolton isn’t even on same planet as Wieskamp. You should just concentrate all your energy on going ape sh!t crazy with cytwins (on clonefanatic), because you can’t handle Iowa being far superior in all major sports.

LOL!

You still think ISU has an argument for 3 guys?

Let me explain myself a little. Joe W is on another planet shooting the 3 compared to Bolton. Bolton's strength is attacking the basket and from the little of Iowa I have seen of Iowa that is not a strength of Joe's "it may be I just have not noticed it". I like the way Bolton plays on the defensive end but Joe had very good length on the defensive end as well. I didn't pick a player between them because I like what they both bring to the table for their Strengths. Conditt I put on there for defensive reasons only. Iowa is a better team this year for sure. They are a more balanced team and are very talented. I think they can be a Sweet 16 or Elite 8 team this year. ISU will be lucky to be a bubble team.

Honest question Hayes...if Bolton played for Iowa do you think he would average double digits? Bolton's numbers are misleading since clones have very few scoring options unlike Iowa.

He is more athletic and as fast as alot of players not just Iowa or Iowa State so he potentially could. Would he have 20-25 point games for Iowa like he does for ISU? Maybe a few if he got enough mins. He could average 10 because he is the kind of player who can score in bunches off the dribble and do it in a short amount of time. But since Iowa is a more complete and balanced team he would have a harder time getting over 10 yes.

Bolton is not a good defender.

He is def not the best around. Honestly is Joe that good? I truly have no idea if he is or not.

That would make an already below avg. roster be even worse next year and set up to finish near the bottom of the Big 12. I think it is almost a for gone conclusion Haliburton leaves. It would be like a guarantee 1st rounder like Wirfs or Eppy staying. The odds are very slim. I actually think Conditt is a pretty good player and could be one of their top 2 guys next year. I think some times with higher rated bigs it takes a little more time to adapt and make a larger impact in the college game compared to guards. That being said if what Register Randy is right I guess Foster will get to see more PT in Ames next year...

Conditt was not a higher rated big as a recruit.

Conditt was not a higher rated big as a recruit.

Interesting I knew Horton-Tucker was a 4* I thought for reason Conditt was the other one in that class and it was both Chicago guys. Looking at rivals you are right Zion Griffin was the other one and that guy barely sees the floor for them. Same goes for Lewis who is a Jr. now and former 4*.

I still think Conditt could be develop and be quality big for them next 2 years but if he leaves their front line will be very thin next year being that one of their freshman left before the season even started this year.

Lucky to be a bubble team? For what, the NIT?
