This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Posting in case there is some truth to it.

This needs to happen. I think the regulars in this thread are in the top 1% of americans in terms of being interested in, and supporting the Ukrainians. With that said, even I am getting fatigued with the status quo. Don't get me wrong, we need to keep on keepin' on with what we are doing, but I fear Ukraine might be at risk of losing the general public's interest if there isn't some change to the status quo.

Be a real man, die for Putin!

Haha! The Russian military uniforms in this commercial look nothing like what the real Russian soldier’s uniforms I’ve seen over the last year+. The real life Russian uniforms look like they were purchased in the “grab bag” camo sections at a number of different Goodwill stores and thrift shops.

The only Russians I’ve seen with good looking uniforms and equipment are the Russian police tasked with arresting protesters.

I've posted this several times. It's morbid, but look at the uniforms, especially the footwear on dead Russian soldiers. You see running shoes and rubber knee high boots that look like they came from the Russian version of Blaines Farm and Fleet. Some poor slob was out slopping the hogs, and the next thing he knows he's in Ukraine.

I don't know for sure on stuff like this, but I hope the Ukrainians are working diligently to organize resistance groups in preparation for an offensive. The Russians will fold fast when faced by fire from more than one side.

The US is set to begin training Ukrainian soldiers and maintenance crews on Abrams tanks. The initial 250 Ukrainians will be trained in Germany on an older model tank, with the 31 tanks being refurbished in the US. 10 weeks of training is planned.
It’s a year to late and there should be a lot more tanks on the way, but it’s a start.

"Artillery already warned this KSP - it didn't work. Therefore, the brave warriors of VOG-17 decided to treat the orcs to a "cake" on Easter night. Two of them wanted to taste it so much that they ran into the house 10 seconds before the reset"

If the Ukrainian offensive doesn't succeed we're going to regret slow rolling these...

Yep. Another critique I am seeing from some ex military people I respect is the decision not to send F-16s that are no longer needed and obsolete but would be great for this conflict. Sounds like we could have made it work by now and ready to go with offensive. Would have been huge.

It seems the "west" has settled on giving the Ukrainians enough to hold and cause serious damage to the Russians....but not enough to force a Russian collapse.

I think the calculus is the powers that be are not real keen on a Russian collapse and resultant chaos....because of Nukes.

If Russia didn't have Nukes this war would have already been over....NATO would have jumped in with both feet to kick the Russians out.

Russia isn’t short on good SAM systems. It’s one of their real capabilities. They’ve been steadily buying back S-300s from other countries since 2014.

I get the argument for obsolete F-16s to chase down Shahed drones, but putting them in the conflict zone with modern anti-aircraft systems? They don’t seem like they would be a difference maker.

May be nothing but I have wondered if Ukraine would dive into Russia to cut off supplies and bypass defenses built in occupied Ukraine. I'm sure some Western countries would not be comfortable with this.
