I just switched over from the I-Cubs game to CNN to catch up.
This is amazing. No matter if this coup/uprising/whatever fails, the narrative for Putin that he is charge, and that the special operation is going well has been shattered. In addition, valuable resources are being redirected from Ukraine to deal with this situation.
Finally, if you ae a Russian soldier sitting in a bunker along a trench line as dawn breaks in Ukraine, what are you thinking? What is your motivation to fight?

This was always the endgame, glad it is happening now rather then later
Way back in this thread I posted something I saw on Lib TV from one of their Russia experts. Putin has no exit plan. He will die in Russia. Rumors of his wealth have been greatly exaggerated. Money doesn't motivate him. He'll get his whore and kids out, but he will not leave Russia.

What started as an attempt to overthrow the Ukrainian government and annex all of Ukraine has eventually backfired on a monumental scale. The last chapter of this Russian-made tragedy has opened and I doubt that it will be a long chapter.

This is exactly why if I'm Ukraine I am sending what I can right now. Divide up that front line if nothing else.
Does Wagner have AA or air support? If not even it could be a tough march. The way this war is going I don't even know if this is real.

His goal has been to recreate the Russian empire and make himself a tsar. It's hard to go from tsar to stooge living in one of the Stans, Syria, or the ME.
