I think the high death rates can also be attributed to the high destruction rate of "other vehicles". They are probably sending thousands of troops to be killed in regular or modified trucks which cannot withstand taking any kind of damage.
This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

There are differing statements on whether the UK allows this or not. The US still fears Putin.
I have no idea why US would put any restraints on Ukraine. None. Those of you talking about nuclear war are beyond help. You don't play any sport with a hand tied behind your back. That is just a sport. This is a war. Outside of war crimes, everything should be on the table.
The longer this goes, the more Russia is depleted.

The majority of Republicans in Congress support Ukraine. It's the vocal minority which does not. Unfortunately, included in that group, is the GOP nominee.
That vocal minority can completely withhold any aid.
Re-elect the nominee, and all he has to do is not provide any support for NATO: Putin is greenlighted to attack NATO countries, and POTUS says "we're not helping".
Poof! NATO no longer exists.

As an old guy, I compare the daily death count to our time in Viet Nam. 55 days in Ukraine costs more orc lives than all of our years in the Nam.
