This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

"The #Ukraine is blocking the transit of Russian oil to Hungary via the "Druzhba" oil pipeline - reports Hungary's Foreign Minister Szijjarto.Hungary received 4 million tons #Erdöl from #Russland annually via the pipeline, about 2/3 of its needs. In return, Ukraine received several dozen million euros in transit fees.Surely #Selenskij is no longer dependent on the millions from #Ungarn , as it is covered with billions from #EU !"

"We’re not helping Ukraine to win | Gen. Ben HodgesGen. Ben Hodges argues that those who fear "escalation" with Russia, if Putin were to be challenged by the West, are dead wrong. Rather than worry about what Russia will do, the White House should be concentrating on doing all that it can to guarantee Russia's defeat and Ukraine's victory. It is clear that if Russia were to triumph in Ukraine, the results would be horrific for not only Ukraine, but all of its allies.
Gen. Ben Hodges says that despite the overwhelming historical evidence that Russia will not use nuclear weapons, some of Washington's supposed "Russia experts," have been able to convince many in the Biden Administration that the threat of a nuclear World War III is right around the corner. More absurd, argues the General, are the American "experts" who are worried what will happen if Russia collapses - or what will happen if Ukraine liberates Crimea.
General Ben Hodges, who commanded the US Army in Europe from 2014 until 2017, says that Western policymakers need to open their eyes to a hard truth: Russia is only emboldened by the empty phrases we use to describe support for Ukraine, as we are unwilling to say that "we will do all that we can for Ukraine to win."

I wonder if we have any training aircraft we could unload on them. The US uses the T-38 and the T-6, which is a piston engine aircraft.
We don't use the T-37 much anymore...might be useful in this role.

T-38 might be too high speed for the role.

OV-10 might be a great option

Yup

Shut down 100% of the supply lines 50-100 miles inside Russia.
Eff them.

No supplies, no war.

Yeah, we need to let Ukraine do it's thing. We don't monitor how others use our weapons. Ukraine has proven they are more than capable of defending themselves and Russian's continue to throw bodies at the problem.

Hodges is clamoring in this video for compelling regime change in Russia and hoping for the best with their nukes during and after.

Has he always been this crazy?

More on the Russians pulling 70 year old artillery pieces out of storage. As those artillery losses climb, replacements have to come from somewhere. If this were the US there would be months of refurbishment and training. I assume these 70 year old systems are getting a fresh paint and a squirt or two of lubricant, and off to the front they go. They cannot be very effective, or safe to operate.

Ukraine war briefing: Germany to halve military aid to Kyiv, draft budget reportedly shows

Hope this part comes true - "Instead the German government hopes Ukraine will be able to meet the bulk of its military needs with $50bn in loans from proceeds of frozen Russian assets approved by the G7, and that funds earmarked for armaments will not be fully used. “Ukraine’s financing is secured for the foreseeable future thanks to European instruments and the G7 loans,” the German finance minister, Christian Lindner, said on Wednesday. Germany has faced criticism for repeatedly missing a Nato target of spending 2% of its GDP on defence, but aims to comply by 2025."

Not sure what the translation means by speed cameras.

"France is preparing a military aid program for Ukraine.The package will include:
128 VAB armored personnel carriers;
18 Caesar self-propelled guns;
24 AMX-10RC wheeled tanks;
Various ATGMs;
trucks; Speed cameras.

Sound NOT safe for work :)

"Comrades wrote “Putin is the best” on the wall of the house where they were hiding. Ukrainian drones attack the house. At the end of the video, the surviving comrade jumps out of the window of a burning house wearing only shorts."

And it doesn't make sense that Russia would assure their destruction over a land grab by Putin.
Which Russian move(s) since Jan 2022 do you think ‘make sense’?

Have you successfully rationalized their next step(s) to this point?

I hope Zelensky goes into full ass kissing mode. The most effective strategy when dealing with Trump.

According to Melania, tRump hasn’t been hard for years.

This is not entirely true.

If Ukraine wins and destroys Russia's army AND we have shifted away from fossil fuels as our primary energy source, Russia will not have the money to re-arm.

Doubling down on the fuel sources that feed these autocratic regimes ensures future conflicts when they can continue rebuilding their arsenals.

Why?

Trump will turn around and abandon them the minute he gets into the WH.

Ukraine has nothing to offer him. Putin has anything and everything to offer him. Everything is transactional w/ Trump.
I think you underestimate the importance of fluffing Trump.
