This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

It's definitely having ramifications for future warfare. A little worried that it's not good for the U.S.

We've relied on our tech advantage and drones provide a quick pathway for a country like China to even the playing field. If any country can mass produce these things, quickly, it'd be China...
If there is any country that could absorb massive casualties it's China. By population, and by political control, they could absorb egregious casualties.

This is second hand from one of my best friends who just "retired" from the Marines... but he makes it sound like they have plenty of weapons/tools to use to destroy/disrupt drones in the field

Yes, but they cannot absorb a full loss of Western markets for all their stuff in any all-out war.
Their economy dissolves if the West isn't buying all the NYs/Valentine's/St Patrick's Day/4th of July/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas shit.

First time I have noticed the casualties numbers going down from previous days number. Nov 2 it was over 697k Nov 3 it’s 696k.
I didn’t notice. Maybe they are trying to be accurate and adjusted down after learning new data. Or maybe it is a typo. No idea. I just post the numbers out of habit, and for awhile have been skeptical of the body count. I understood it to go from kills only of Russian soldiers, to kills of Russian forces including mercenaries/wagner, to casualties including deaths and serious injuries. I also understood those to be estimates based on equipment/buildings destroyed, and not on actually bodies counted. I think the equipment count is accurate though.

The aircraft numbers haven’t changed in a long while. 369 does have a nice ring to it, tho.

Twilight Zone - the UK MOD intelligence for today was the same they had posted for Nov 1st.

Even the large infantry forces of the US found itself short of riflemen during the Normandy campaign. Troops being trained for other jobs found themselves being given a rifle and sent as replacements. Though much of this is blamed on trying to use their civilian jobs as a template for their military ones and thus not creating enough riflemen.
