This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Conspiracies debunked a long time ago.
I think it was the Air Disasters show that had an episode on it:

Skip ahead to 19min mark for the meat of the story and what went wrong.
Crew mistakes (among them resetting the barometric altimeter) attempting to land in dense fog at an airport that didn’t have ILS.

When you read about an alleged conspiracy, do try to read more about it and inform yourself, or just spread the conspiracy?

Sure seems like Ukraine knows Russia is hurting and trying to reorganize for one desperate offensive and they are having none of it, which is exactly what they should do. **** letting them gather and build back up and resupply. Every day like the last one is a day closer to Russia flat out losing this war.
It's funny, I've not quite had that feeling. My sense is that most of what UkR has been doing lately is more in the nature of "picketing" rather than a dedicated counteroffensive, and that they've been warning people that there are really hard days coming in the east. I also have this nagging instinct that what the Russians are doing these past few days seems somewhat more purposeful, coordinated, and strategic. While I still have few doubts who will ultimately prevail here, I have a bad feeling that there is some really nasty fighting coming. I hope the UKR's get the weapons they need to do some harm from distance; there are few things I'd like better than to see a significant Russian warship get harpooned and put into the bottom of the Black Sea for example. Either way, I know what I'll be praying for during this Holy Week.

I am no strategist but am hoping Ukraine is waiting for major offensive in East to start a more major counter attack in the South. (Reduce the number of possible reinforcements elsewhere.) Maybe they can beat the stranglehold on parts of the coast including Mariupol.

There have been clips where Russia claims to have shot down helicopters leaving Mariupol with wounded :( and I assume those same copters brought in supplies and weapons coming in.
This would not help their manpower situation in the city but wonder if there are large drones that could bring in supplies and weapons.

The bad guys-impressed by the sheer numbers involved in modern military units and I know this is just a fraction of what is heading West.

I’m not sure why we haven’t seen them sunk already. I’d give them 50 harpoons and let them blast away at those ships.

1. I think they were only mentioned as a form of assistance late last week.
2. No idea what is necessary for support and targeting, or at what range from land Russian ships are. I'm assuming sea-borne is probably unlikely.
3. Per this article, it may be that the harpoons that can be supplied are earlier generation products. https://www.navylookout.com/can-the-uk-supply-anti-ship-missiles-to-ukriane/

And the Russians almost certainly have similar defensive measures like the US - anti missile missiles and those gatling gun like in close weapons.

Wow, this seems like a lot of the points people in this thread have been bring up for the last 30 days.
yeah, that's the real elephant. Russia actually doesn't have to have a single troop in Ukraine if all they want to do is kill civilians. They could safely remove every troop across the border and simply launch missiles one right after another at the cities. And unless the NATO Armed forces is truly ready to engage a war within Russian borders there's not much that can be done outside of some missile defense systems.

Does Russia have enough missiles to sustain that?! Based on what I am seeing they are well into the reserve stash.

This is a VERY good thread. If the US really wanted to help Ukraine with more modern NATO weapons, they could do it quickly with private military contractors. Zelensky could declare them as part of the Ukraine Foreign Legion for legal purposes, etc. All it takes is money.

At least do it for Patriot anti-missile defense, Abrams tanks, and artillery. Maybe dust off a few A-10s😎.

I'm pretty sure the Patriot system is on backorder for the foreseeable future. Unless someone is willing to give up their current system.

Also, I know everyone loves to talk about A-10s, and they are badass for sure. They'd also be in a bad spot without a combination of air-superiority, radar jamming, and destruction of AAA/SAMs in the area. They're big, slow sky tanks that did really great in Iraq after we obliterated the Iraqi air defenses. Not the same ballgame here.

I could give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. Could have easily been an attempt at a wave where the hand went a little low.

Did not straighten his arm, did not hold it out there for very long. Seemed to be acknowledging someone in the crowd.

A lot of reasons to doubt this was an attempt at a Nazi salute.
If you watch the video and see his shit eating grin after he did it I think it is clear he knew what he was doing.

Or maybe he was having a laugh with someone in the crowd?

I'm no Nazi but I would think if I wanted to make a Nazi political statement I would make it crystal clear by holding the arm at a 45 degree angle, straight and maintaining that stance through the entire anthem.

True.

I saw it this way too. I think he was banging his chest and doing a wave to crowd and smiled like a loon at someone in innocence. And I am somebody who also thinks Laura Ingram knew exactly what she did with her nazi like arm salute. This was not that.

I think his face and looks hurt him here. He has the face of a person you would stereotype as being a jackass.
