Trump: Zelensky ‘has no cards,’ ‘shouldn’t be at meetings’ with Russia

You are smarter than this.

Zelensky has England, France, Germany and the rest of Europe behind him. Sure it isn’t the US, but it ain’t trivial either - especially considering how beaten down Russia’s military is so far.
Outstanding. And those other countries will continue to offer their support, with strings attached.

Mining rights, a percentage of thr farming revenue, land, SOMETHING was going to be needed as repayment. If you guys would have tried selling this as doing it out of the kindness of our heart instead of "great ROI to weaken Russia" you would have gotten laughed out of the room.

Can anyone please explain why we are even involved if it’s not both parties at the table? Does Trump believe Ukraine is just going to accept whatever he tells them to do? They have the backing of Europe, they have ingenuity, they have manpower.

I cannot even fathom why he thinks this will work.

Does anyone speak MAGA well enough to translate this insanity.
Inquiring minds want to know.

We have been there for 3 years and the only plan seems to be to continue to write blank checks.

You want to bitch, blame Biden for kicking the can for several years without any plan.

We will fight your battles and pay your bills indefinitely isn't a plan.
Why are you carrying water for simpletons?
How do you know what plans were or were not discussed/implemented?

My money is on the fact that you were not involved in the planning in the past and will not be in the future.

I did. And your payment question, means we didn't just spend billions of dollars to protect some sunflowers on the other side of the globe for free.
Again, what does “it’s time” mean? Is the clock ticking?
Do you understand how much of the money spent actually was spent buying American products?
Your list is not jiving with your talk regarding corruption.

Yupp.

Zalinsky, and you, can play dumb all.you want. The golden rule is he with the gold rules and without US backing him Zalinsky will be a mud puddle in less than a week.

Did you expect the money/ munitions we sent over there to have zero expectations of repayment?

Simpleton.
You think payment is gonna be immediate?
My gosh, why bother asking, I guess.

So you are expecting some form of payment.... something like a tax or garnishment?

They borrow hundreds of billions at a time, nobody is expecting the money tmrw.

Your frustration needs to Fallon the feet of Joe Biden. Dude had 3 years to come up with something better than "you handle it" and he didn't.

You are the poster talking about “ it’s about time” for payment. Neither you nor I know anything about US assistance being tied to repayment or not. Possibly some aid was grants, possibly some loans.
You continue to say there was no plan by the previous admin. You know this how?

Don’t attempt to understand complicated situations, because it doesn’t seem to end well.

We are 4 years in and Ukraine is more dependent on us than ever.

There is your plan.

Be better.

You just can't help yourself.
I'm all ears. Give me an example of something we have done to help Ukraine be self supportive and not dependent on US?
OK. So, you don’t know US plans. Clarification received.
3.5 years in, a failure to plan is a plan to fail. What we have done is created a dependent on the other side of the world. Good luck kicking that ****er out of the house.

Funding them so they can fight the fight for one.

You still can't recognize your stupid mistake. So typical.

Utterly deplorable. What a POS Trump is:

President Trump lashed out at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, saying he did not think it was important for Zelensky to attend negotiations about the war in Ukraine.
Trump acknowledged in a Fox News Radio interview with Brian Kilmeade that Russia attacked Ukraine but still suggested former President Biden and Zelensky shared blame for failing to talk down Moscow.

“I’ve been watching for years, and I’ve been watching him negotiate with no cards,” Trump said of Zelensky. “He has no cards. And you get sick of it.”
“So, I don’t think he’s very important to be at meetings, to be honest with you,” Trump added. “He makes it very hard to make deals.”
Trump suggested Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to reach a deal to end the war in Ukraine. He claimed Putin did not necessarily have to negotiate a ceasefire, because if he wanted, he’d get “the whole country.”
“Every time I say, ‘Oh, it’s not Russia’s fault,’ I always get slammed by the fake news,” Trump told Kilmeade. “But I’m telling you, Biden said the wrong things. Zelensky said the wrong things. They got attacked by somebody that’s much bigger and much stronger.”

I supported Trump but his treatmen...'s proving true. He's just making s!@t up now

Did you vote republican or democrat? Because your posts can say one thing but your actions speak louder. Speaking of democracy does Ukraine plan on holding elections?

But they’re not, as of today right?
Do explain how they're supposed to hold elections when 1) large chunks of their country is occupied by invaders 2) millions of their people have been forced to flee their homes, if not outright leave the country 3) it would be near-impossible to guarantee the safety of people as they voted since it's not likely Putin would take a day off from dropping bombs.

Also - Ukrainians don't have an issue with this. They understand the realities.

Still waiting for someone to explain a legitimate reason for us to conduct negotiations without one of the two parties in the conflict at the table.

So far all I’ve heard was we spent a bunch of money and might makes right.

Imagine going back in time to Republicans heroes like Reagan and Eisenhower and telling them we were taking the side of the Soviets because we were tired of spending money helping West Germany and we are bigger than they are so they just have to take it.

This is perhaps the single dumbest foreign policy take I have ever seen and that includes how the west carved up the Middle East in the first half of the 1900’s.

You responded to me, you spent your time responding to someone you don’t take seriously. What’s that say about you?

There isn't a great reason other than Trump knows Zalinsky is inevitably going to bend the knee and he is going to get the job done and then propose how it's going to look to Zalinsky. The next step being "this is what i got, if you don't like it, best of luck". It isn't great, no doubt.
