AOG just does not pass the eye test against teams that are average or above. She did great against weak teams. AOG might have FG% (stupid stat when they are losing games they shouldn't) but AH has everything else. How do you bench the #3 FG percentage shooter in the country? Let's start with Syd and Kylie on the bench for TMAC and Stremlow with Olsen, O'Grady and Hannah.
Jan will get 3 to 4 years unless things really go into the tank meaning the next years cant be like this yearExcept proven success, but who cares
Yes, Ava is more athletic. I just wish that they didn't play the same position.AOG just does not pass the eye test against teams that are average or above. She did great against weak teams. AOG might have FG% (stupid stat when they are losing games they shouldn't) but AH has everything else.
She shoots the ball at a high rate - which is awesome. How do you bench the #3 FG percentage shooter in the country? Let's start with Syd and Kylie on the bench for TMAC and Stremlow with Olsen, O'Grady and Hannah.
Probably passing. She shoots the ball at a high rate - which is awesome.
What is AOG's 2nd best quality/skill?
Priorities for next practice: (1) free throw shooting; (2) layup drill & put-back bunnies from 1 foot.
You bench her because :How do you bench the #3 FG percentage shooter in the country? Let's start with Syd and Kylie on the bench for TMAC and Stremlow with Olsen, O'Grady and Hannah.
She's on the floor because she hustles for loose balls. She always has a couple blocks per game. What's her turnover rate compared to CC last year? She averages 12.5 ppg 5.7 rb per game and 1.7 ast. per game. I wouldn't call that reason enough to bench her. I like AH and think her time will come but when you throw up a shot like she did last night when it hit the top of the backboard from two feet out shows me she's not quite ready yet.You bench her because :
1. she is a statue and doesn't move
2. She doesn't play much defense
3. She rarely hustles
4. She can't jump
5. she gets very few rebounds
6. she brings the ball down to her waist and lets the defender tie her up
7. she spends a lot of time on the floor, literally the floor
8. she is prone to turnovers
9. her shot gets blocked a lot for a six four center
should I continue?
I think thats "one of those stats". It deceiving. She makes a decent % WHEN she actually catches the ball. She was the worst again last game in plus/minus at -11 in her minutes. Sub par defender who isn't mobile, and poor rebounder who can't/won't rebound outside her arms length. Brings the ball down constantly and gets stripped or tied up much of the time because she lacks strength, or determination. Seems to get tired easily, or just doesn't hustle. Contrast Heidens movement, agility, and hops compared and its not even close. How do you bench the #3 FG percentage shooter in the country? Let's start with Syd and Kylie on the bench for TMAC and Stremlow with Olsen, O'Grady and Hannah.
Those rebound numbers were greatly effected by a couple of games. She's on the floor because she hustles for loose balls. She always has a couple blocks per game. You 2 idiots laughing at this must not watch basketball.Probably passing.
I think she does hustle and she gives her very best and we can all appreciate that. However, the eye test results says she a statue. AOG is maxed out. This is as good as it's gonna get. I think AH is better than AOG right now and AH isn't even close to reaching her potential. Even you as a relative of AOG must see this. She's on the floor because she hustles for loose balls. Why do you think I'm related to Addi O'Grady? I've got eyes I'm there at every home game. Several times with her back to the basket she bounce passes the ball to a guard for a layup. But of course, with your blinders on I wouldn't expect you to see that. Is she perfect? No. She needs to work on some things. Is Ava ready to play more minutes? Possibly. Our liability right now is Hannah Stulke, she has had a rough couple of games and not sure why. Sunday she just looked uninterested.Last year , for example, Caitlin Clark was charged for lots of turnovers when her Fever teaammates didn't cleanly receive the ball when they should have after a good pass. This is what's happening with the players who are passing the ball in to Addison often times (not every time). They throw in a good pass but if it is not perfect, it is a turnover on the teammate and not Addie. She won't step back (when the defender fronts her) and it goes out of bounds or a defender from the otherside of the lane gets the pass. Her lack of mobility is a major detriment. Look at Megan Gustafson and Monica Czinano for a good reference on mobility and neither one of them have the mobility of Heiden.
I think you have blinders on as it pertains to Addie. If you are a relative or friend I suggest you stay off the women's site.
This is what usually happens with AOG in the middle. Why do you think I'm related to Addi O'Grady? I've got eyes I'm there at every home game. Maybe HS is spending too much alone time with Jada. Why do you think I'm related to Addi O'Grady? I've got eyes I'm there at every home game. That pass worked against Indiana Sunday night. And the lob pass resulting in a turnover is because the one trying to lob it over when it's not there. I don't like JJ substitution patterns and that's something the coaching staff is going to have to look at. In my opinion only Stremlo and McCabe should be starting in place of Kylie and Syd.This is what usually happens with AOG in the middle.
I don't think those bounce passes works against Big10 teams.
- When defender is behind AOG - She gets the pass and usually throws it back out because of limited post moves.
- When defender is fronting AOG - Lob pass resulting in a turnover.
HS in the inside with AOG means that Hannah feels like she has to shoot because AOG can't get open or limited offensively for Hannah to dish. And it doesn't matter how fast or open Hannah is when AOG gets the ball in the inside because AOG will never square up to the basket.
I'm intrigued with the thought of AH and HS playing at the same time. Both are mobile enough to warrant weak side help, which means that they could have option to dish to the other.
Ava has great mobility- anticipates switches well, and times blocks extremely well. I think if Hanna is not the 5 ( she is not a four) then Ava should get most minutesI think she does hustle and she gives her very best and we can all appreciate that. Nothing about that pass is special to AOG, anybody could do it. Lobbing a pass to AOG is a mistake in general against Big10 play. She is not fast enough to adjust to the ball in the air. I like you thoughts on who should start, and I'll add AH for AOG.That pass worked against Indiana Sunday night. McCabe has zero starts; Stremlow started the 2 Cancun games when Lucy was injured.I thought McCabe did start a game lately and Stremlow as well and maybe I'm mistaken, but didn't do so well and they both seem to do well coming in off the bench. Stremlow as a freshman will likely play better at home like most freshmen do.
Ok, and?McCabe has zero starts; Stremlow started the 2 Cancun games when Lucy was injured.
STFU dude. Are 2.2 turnovers too much? I realize 1 is too much and I'm sure there's some on the team that average more than 2.2.Keep CC's name outta your mouth.
Seriously, comparing turnovers is rediculous. AOG is a turnover machine compared to our previous centers, she is just not strong w the ball- sorry
Hannah averages more turnovers per game and averages the same points per game. Are you going to bench her too?Keep CC's name outta your mouth.

How many touches do each of them get? Do even watch the games? Are you her mother? Lighten the F upHannah averages more turnovers per game and averages the same points per game. Are you going to bench her too?
So this is what you do when the facts come out? ****ing douchebag. You must be a Trumpla****. They don't deal with the facts either.Grow up.... "Dude"
What the f&ck is wrong w you. You 11, been on here for a week. Piss offSo this is what you do when the facts come out? ****ing douchebag.

Oops! I went to the box scores of each game on the ESPN website to check this; I must be blind because in rechecking the starters list you are 100% correct. My mistake.McCabe started the first two games. That appears to be 2 more than zero.
