This was a loss NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE WANTED TO THINK

I will go to a game every couple of years but other than that I won’t donate my teacher pay to freaking kids playing a game when they have an education paid for, amongst all the other perks that come with their scholarship.
That is fine, but people with more spare money ought to step up if they want the right to complain about Iowa not being competitive talent wise with OSU. We lack talent largely because we don't have much in NIL compared to OSU, Oregon, other NIL elites.

We lost mostly because we have much worse talent and winning at Ohio St. is tough and unlikely even before the advent of NIL. I do think complaints about KF poor strategy are valid.

BTW, I did donate to SWARM but maybe not next year. College athletics is professional sports and Iowa doesn't really have a legit chance of competing for titles in Men's B-ball, Football.

Can't wait to donate to SWARM so we get some more Cade.

We do need a more modern, NIL accepting, play the best talent approach---KF becomes more like Joe Paterno as a football mind the more years pass. The Swarm overspent on CADE because KF/BF told them to do so. KF was trying to save BF's job and is not good at evaluating QB talent. Once Cade became the "man" at QB he gets the KF union card.

Anyway, OSU loss and beat down was about what I expected. The aberration was being down only 7-0 at the half.

The team is simply a reflection of the fan base and the fan base's commitment to NIL. We have probably the worst fan base commitment to NIL than any team in the Conference.

So, we deserve what we get on the field.
Be careful, you'll draw snickers from the peanut gallery.

In all fairness, Cade was one of the better QB transfers in that portal class. Most were thrilled to get him, but we're also seeing why McCarthy passed him on the depth chart. I don't think any of us expected him to be as fragile as he is either where he is essentially zero threat to run.

I haven’t seen recent updates but last I heard we were very much in the top half of NIL in the B10. Unfortunately our highest visibility NIL targets haven’t panned out.
