I'm rooting for him to get it done, Ramos' whiny rant when he lost to Dennis and his choke job against Brewer at WNO are my last two memories of the guy...I think Gilman is in his head and takes him out in 2 straight!

With Lee coming in and who knows what weight Clark will go, I'm beginning to wonder if there will ever be another non-hawkeye representing the US at the light weights.
Especially when the weight changes. I imagine some of those bigger guys like Graff, Ramos, and Garrett will have a hard time taking off a couple extra kilos. Might be difficult for Clark too.

Ramos will likely attempt to stand around while making a million fake level changes, and win by a point late. In fairness to UNC, he did this while he was at the HWC as well. He'll never be a serious player on the world or Olympic stage unless he learns to score.
I feel you're looking in to the match to much. The real question will be, did Coleman eat lunch with Ramos. If not Gilman could have a serious mental edge on him.

Just an awesome job today. Great start by showing he had a bad match at NCAA's, got after it and took it to him. Graff is no slouch and proved to win the close one, Just flat out beat up Nico (loved it), and came back with the clutch takedown when he needed it against NATO.

Gman has to be my favorite Hawkeye/HWC member at this point. Just love his tenacity and desire to win. I had doubts that Thomas had the size/strength/experience to make the finals this year, but he performed like a champion. I doubt that he will beat TRam after having a grueling afternoon of wrestling and size/experience disadvantage (just writing that so he can continue to prove me wrong). Go get him Thomas!!!

No, Fix will never threaten Lee again is my prediction. Given the change in weigh in protocol, it's over. No more night before or two day before weigh ins and if Daton makes 125 in College--I believe Lee will pin him. It won't be close, wrestling one hour after the scale... please let it happen, but I don't think it will.

The difference in both matches was Gilman's ability to defend the leg lace. Ramos had it locked up tight twice!

Ramos showed class and sportsmanship after the conclusion of the match. Looked like he said some congratulatory words.
-6-0...5 of those wins against a former NCAA champ, avenged some losses, and finishes with 2 wins against a favored and well-rested Ramos! That's about the most impressive single tournament resume that I've ever seen!
