If this is the LB from Alabama, I've heard he's going to UAB. It is a long story that makes no sense to me, especially since that program was shuttered for a year, but his older brother is going there and evidently his dad has connections with their new coach. I am friends with somebody who is close to the family, that's the only reason I know this. (But even then it is a couple of months old so it is possible things have changed)

Thanks for the info. With all of his offers, UAB definitely seems like an outlier. I remember reading that he had a connection to Iowa as well?

I am not that connection but know the people. Evidently his older brother Tyler is (or was) heading to UAB and I think Thomas wants to play with him. I also think the parents like to be able to easily travel to the games and knowing UAB's new coach helps comfort them with playing time or at least a very fair shake. I don't really follow recruiting much but just happen to know about this situation. I hope it is still accurate info and if not I hope Iowa is high on his list. By the way, older brother Tyler tore his ACL in between junior and senior year so I think he lost a lot of interest from P5 schools because of that. Not sure if the recruiting services indicate whether he already signed with UAB or not. I'll try to find him next. If he recovers well, he will be a great player as well.

From talking to their father before, there's definitely a lean towards playing at the same college (UAB) together, but maybe not a foregone conclusion.

Their mom is originally from Cresco, IA, and their dad played football at Waldorf. They have a lot of family in the state on their mom's side so usually visit a couple times a year. When they did this past winter, I know they went to an Iowa basketball game at Carver. I think the football team was in California for the Rose Bowl at the time, so it wasn't really a recruiting visit.

Next visit will be sometime this summer and they plan to visit the Hawkeyes then.

With that offer list it would be a shame if he went to UAB.....I don't care if he has 3 brothers and 6 cousins on the team UAB really
