The Friday Edition of Throwback Thursday. The 2009 Hawkeye team is my all time favorite Hawkeye team: Stanzi, McNutt, Sash, Hyde, Clayborn, Angerer, Greenwood, Reiff, Kulg, Stross, Moeki, Daniels, Murray, Robinson. The list goes on and on with such great and iconic Hawkeyes.
The players weren't the only thing that were iconic, some of the best plays in the Ferentz era happened during this season!
Of course, there were some disappointments as well.
To cap off the season, we had a great victory against Georgia Tech with their "Triple Threat" offense. And of course, ending with Ricky Stanzi's legendary "Love it or Leave It" quote.

- The two blocked kicks against UNI
- Clayborn blocked kick in Unhappy Valley
- 7 got 6 McNutt game winning touchdown
- Sash pinball pick six (Trick or Treat Iowa City!)
- The immaculate Stanzi comeback against Indiana
Of course, there were some disappointments as well.
- Stanzi goes down against Northwestern (which I still hold a grudge to this day)
- The OT loss in the Shoe against Ohio State, which I still believe if Stanzi was healthy, we would have won by two touchdowns.
