Ticket Exchange Thread

Just frustrating when you think you got tickets for a decent price and then your hopes get shot down. Still working on finding some that are affordable.

That's such a screw though. Those are face value for about $80.

The way I look at it is. How many times will Iowa be in this game? I know several people that are going and a lot of people got shot down by the university ticket office. So I am sure tickets will be hard to come by.

A buddy of mine from Wisky said that even if the place doesn't fill up (I highly doubt that) that you can move around if needed. Said they bought tickets a few years ago in Section 641 and moved down to the lower bowl at halftime and watched 2nd half from there.

Also it doesn't help that stub hub adds 20-30 dollars fees on top of each ticket. So that is why they are higher in price because of all the fees.

The guy that bought our tickets said they were 150 each. The face value of the ticket was 80 dollars. Plus stubs 32.00 fee on top of it. So 150-112 the guy is making 38 dollar profit on each ticket. Oh well. I would rather have tickets in hand than go without.

I agree with the others its over priced but ya only live once. This could be the only time the hawks make the BTC, so I don't care what tickets cost. I'll sit up high (a friend of ours lives in Indy) and said Lucas Oil is like Kinnick. Not a bad seat in the house. Said you can see everything and there are really no bad seats (actually said the lower bowl for NFL games sucks). All the people on the sideline makes it hard to see.

The only thing that confuses me is why does the University only get 10,000? You would think that the BTC would allow them to fill each ticket order and then release the left overs to open market? I do not get why the Big Ten Sells the tickets August 1st? The season hasn't even started yet. Why not wait and see who is in contention and then release them and start selling them like October 1st?

I have one ticket in section 646 row 12 for the big ten title game. Price is $125. We had three people going but one can't make it now. Email me at keeker16@yahoo.com. I am in the Des Moines area. Thanks

They are high right now but I would wait it out. Prices on SH and outside the stadium will do nothing but go down the closer we get to the game.

I have 2 basketball tickets for this Wednesday's ACC/BIG10 challenge.
$30 total for the pair.
Section BB Row 39 on the aisle. And looking at the Iowa ticketing site, you'll likely be able to sit anywhere!
email me if you want these for half price: croce_99@yahoo.com
I can email them to you.

How about these people on Facebook who got ticket through U of Iowa and are selling them?? I thought the whole reason people filled out the application was to go to the game? I see some people are selling them for 200-350 a ticket? WOW that's insane. Never would pay that much for tickets, sorry.

Glad I got ours when I did. The prices keep going up and up and up.

I agree, but if you have two to sell or know of anyone let me know. 3194307012

I do not, but there are several people posting on the Facebook page (Big ten Championship Game) page hosted by Hawkeyes For Life. I know some of them are crazy in prices, but check it out.

Just noticed on Stubhub a lot of tickets available in the "Iowa Sections" in the stadium. So all those people who filled out the application and paid 80-150 dollars a ticket are now trying to sell them for 250-500 a ticket. Guess someone's gotta pay for their donations or their season tickets.

Those are right next to my family. I would love them. I can only pay $200 a ticket. Let me know if that is possible.

I have two tickets in section 313, row 2 seat 1 & 2. The seats are near the 50 yard line. Asking $550 ticket - I have them listed on Stub Hub at $750 each.

Sorry Hawkeyenate - I will sit in them myself if I don't sell them. Thanks for asking and go Hawks!

If anyone pays $500 a ticket for this game, they have money to burn.
You'll be able to scalp midfield seats in the lower level for $200-$250 max on Saturday.
There's 3,000 tickets on stubhub, plus the season ticket holders who purposely bought tickets to resell.
There are also corporations/sponsors who receive thousands of tickets, and they are flooding the Indianapolis Craigslist with ticket posting. Keep in mind, only 20,000 of the 70,000 tickets went to the schools. Ticketmaster didn't sell 50,000 seats to the public. Sponsors/corporations receive a lot of the tickets.

Don't overspend on tickets when the game is 4 days away. Prices will drop as the date approaches. Craigslist is flooded with tickets. Those same people asking $220 a ticket will be lowering their prices by Thursday night.

Sold them last night on Stubhub. I won these tickets in a raffle but decided to stay in my endzone seats with my friends that we got through the University.
