Figured I'd go ahead and post along with everyone else. I've actually already booked flights and hotel, but just need a pair of tickets.

Just a fantasy post here, but I need (2) Rose Bowl tickets. I'm in Phoenix but would have cash payment made on behalf of a family member in CR or IC. I have everything booked but just missing game tickets like many of us. Thanks.

We are going to have seven Hawkeye fans going either way. I just figured I would see if anyone could help on here so that I could in return help out another Iowa fan. If I just buy a ticket somewhere else, I wouldn't be able to help any other fan on here.
 
TIX FOR SALE:

I have 4 tickets together in Section 15, Row 76. We got in early and purchased the 4 for a total of $2,660 with fees, etc on Stub Hub. Shortly thereafter, we acquired different tickets through another channel and are now selling these. Thought I'd offer them to fellow Hawkeye fans before putting them back on Stub Hub (they are going for more $$ now). We are just trying to get our money back. Would take $2,500 for the 4. If interested, please email me at steve121909@yahoo.com I should have the tickets by UPS soon and could mail them or worst case meet you in Pasadena.

Orrrr, Okie State isn't going to the Rose Bowl and you need to unload them. (StaticH2O = Stillwater) I'm guessing that's a touch above what you actually paid...

You must be a lawyer or doctor to dish out that much money $2600 for tickets. I've got kids to feed.

Was planning on making the trip, but plans fell through and have to work the day after. I have 4 tickets in the Iowa section, unfortunately they are not together, they are 2 and 2. If interested in either 2 or 4 email me with reasonable offer. hwkfan4lfe@gmail.com

Amen. If it is a big game there is righteous indignation about the price printed on the ticket being the holy grail of value. I have been there left holding the bag with the "$10 to 20 ticket" that I paid $50 for

Apparently you haven't actually read my posts. I have no problem with it.

Hawk fans are outbidding hawk fans, so a hawk fan is getting the tickets, some just "want it more" (have more money willing to spend on it)

What is funny to me is that so many are in fact ashamed/embarrassed by what they are doing and refuse to admit it. THEY think what they are doing is "wrong," not me.

But in this case you aren't just selling your tickets, you are requesting tickets solely to sell them ... for a profit.

Good for you. If you feel a bit ashamed about that, look inward.

First of all, I didn't say I had any tickets to sell, nor did I order any tickets just "to sell them...for a profit"

However, as a season ticket holder, who has sold dozens of tickets over the years for far less than face value, I don't see how you, nor anyone else, can begrudge anyone for trying to get closer to the plus side of the ledger. Have you ever tried to sell season tickets at face value only to get laughed at, scoffed at? Probably not. But for every person who has, and is in the very situation you describe, I say good for them! And who are you, Mr Anonymous Internet Tough Guy to say otherwise. Go be Mr Generous with other people's money someplace else...

Get off your high horse...

You seem to have a hard time comprehending my post, reading things that aren't there.

Your last paragraph isn't even relevant, as you, again, are talking about posters who are speculating, requesting tickets solely for purpose of profit. That isn't a season ticket holder trying to balance the ledger.

But to repeat: I'm all for it. If you weren't selling to highest bidder than you are simply choosing who gets them (usually friends/family), it isn't like that is more "fair". We have a system of working out priority: money. Hawk fans are beating out hawk fans, no one is getting "screwed" as it is a net zero.

Selling on here is better than stubhub for many reasons, most importantly because you know they are going to Hawk fans.

Usually when someone works so hard to defend their actions it is because they feel guilty. That's on you.

I give mine away if I can't use them. Better someone sitting in our seats than having two empty seats. People are entitled to their doings, but I never try and sell our tickets. Too much of a hassle, just give them away and move on. But I also do not buy them to make a buck off of. I buy them for my own enjoyment, if I can't enjoy, someone else should.

Trip didn't work out. Will no for sure in the morning if a coworker will take. Otherwise Live in Omaha would do a cash transaction with a fellow hawk fan for face value plus a bottle of booze so $350 for the pair

My parents are close to Omaha and would be willing to make the drive to meet up. I'd like to take my dad, but I can't swing expensive tickets right now (thanks, tuition).
