I've been checking every couple of days and right now there are some available. Can't get more than two together, but they're face value (plus the ticketmaster fees of course)
I know the University of Iowa had over 50,000 requests for their 22000 tickets but I'm wondering if those 30 some thousand that didn't get tickets decided not to even go now since the prices last week were so outrageous they just gave up.
It's not just the tickets. People were facing those outrageous prices in addition to dropping $1400 a person to fly out there plus $400 a night on a hotel. Driving makes it cheaper but those of us with infants don't have that option and I'd imagine most with kids under about 13 couldn't imagine that road trip either.I think this is exactly what happened. Too bad, but I think it is true. People were all fired up about going until they saw how much the tickets were and then decided to not go. There are still thousands of tickets left. Bet we see a fire sale soon. I pulled the trigger at $170 a piece and bet that same ticket will be in the low 100s soon.
S Cal is huge. Why would anyone have to pay 400 per night if they were on a budget? It's not just the tickets. I bet they could easily find hotels for half that. Maybe even 125 range.
We got round trip from O'hare to Vegas for $330. Got a 3 day car rental from Enterprise, unlimited mileage for $98.Anyone can get reasonable airfare if they are willing to fly into vegas.

I'm not sure many would try and drive to Pasadena the day of the game. That wouldn't be wise. Hotels will be likely just as easy and priced reasonably in So Cal as they would be in Vegas. You could be a genius or you could be an idiot. There's only one road from LV and LA. If things go your way it's 4 hours. But around the holidays it can be a nightmare. Several years ago the drive in reverse took me about 10 hours. A good chunk was about 25mph and there's nothing you can do about it.

I have found several decent hotels for less than $100.00 a night around Simi Valley and Ontario.
That is 42 miles from the stadium. How long do you think it will take in Rose Bowl traffic? An hour and a half minimum?
I'm at the Omni downtown and don't have to drive anywhere all week. Thank You Primesport!!!
From everything I have read traffic will be no problem until you approach the Rose Bowl the morning of the game. That is 42 miles from the stadium. How long do you think it will take in Rose Bowl traffic? An hour and a half minimum?

We have a sizeable group going and were so paranoid that we'd have to have 150+ priority points to get tickets through the University that we asked everyone we know to put in for tickets for us. In addition, we found some through the secondary market (marked up to $150 above face but still not awful). Then the University wound up distributing tickets in a way that gave a huge chunk of the fan base tickets, which is great, but left us with almost 10 tickets that we had to sell because everyone we asked got them.
We've been able to sell most of them but I probably went through 10-12 people who were interested in going early on but gave up on their plans because they couldn't spend the amount being asked on Stub Hub and then, after being offered tickets, couldn't find reasonable flights.
I applaud what the ticket office tried to do but perhaps they could have been more transparent right away which would have allowed us to plan better as a fan base.
Thank you Primesport for bending me over!!
