I've been checking every couple of days and right now there are some available. Can't get more than two together, but they're face value (plus the ticketmaster fees of course)

I really wonder what this all means. Does this mean most of the tickets are gone or does it mean, there are still a ton out there in scalpers hands?

How bad would i feel if I panicked and paid 800 for tickets j could have got today for face value?

The UCLA guy with the thread on here about the Rose Bowl and trying to sell his premium seats has made me very curious. He is saying it seems like demand is much less than it has been in years past. That just seems very odd with all of the hoopla we saw last week with high ticket prices and demand off the charts.

I know the University of Iowa had over 50,000 requests for their 22000 tickets but I'm wondering if those 30 some thousand that didn't get tickets decided not to even go now since the prices last week were so outrageous they just gave up.

I think youll see those primesport package tix be sold as regular tix over the next few weeks. Nobody is dropping $2500 for Rose Bowl tickets

For good seats at face value it would be very tempting just to take off and drive out if I didn't have so much going on during that time. It'd be a blast to drive across country take your time sleep in a fleabag hotel a few nights maybe even can sleep in the vehicle a night or two and just I have a great road trip

I think this is exactly what happened. Too bad, but I think it is true. People were all fired up about going until they saw how much the tickets were and then decided to not go. There are still thousands of tickets left. Bet we see a fire sale soon. I pulled the trigger at $170 a piece and bet that same ticket will be in the low 100s soon.

It's not just the tickets. People were facing those outrageous prices in addition to dropping $1400 a person to fly out there plus $400 a night on a hotel. Driving makes it cheaper but those of us with infants don't have that option and I'd imagine most with kids under about 13 couldn't imagine that road trip either.

I think the original ticket prices scared most people off and they were crossing their fingers to get some through the university. Now that prices are lower its hard to get decent airfare from the Midwest. It might be up to our west coast transplants to show up in numbers since they will have cheaper transportation.

S Cal is huge. Why would anyone have to pay 400 per night if they were on a budget?

I bet they could easily find hotels for half that. Maybe even 125 range.

Agreed!!! you could stay in a hotel between LA and SD and pay in the 125 range EASY.. or if you only cared about SLEEPING in the room... and not spending all your time there.... you could get down to the 100 range and still have a really decent hotel.

I know several fans located in Iowa that have access to game tickets, but can't get a reasonable airfare. Reasonable meaning price, schedule, layover, etc.

There should be 10K Iowa fans coming from AZ alone with how many alumni live there. Will be disappointed if they are too lazy and cheap to make the trip.

looks like ticketmaster tix are gone. so, its officially sold out again and ticket prices go up???

We got round trip from O'hare to Vegas for $330. Got a 3 day car rental from Enterprise, unlimited mileage for $98.

You could be a genius or you could be an idiot. There's only one road from LV and LA. If things go your way it's 4 hours. But around the holidays it can be a nightmare. Several years ago the drive in reverse took me about 10 hours. A good chunk was about 25mph and there's nothing you can do about it.

I'm not sure many would try and drive to Pasadena the day of the game. That wouldn't be wise. Hotels will be likely just as easy and priced reasonably in So Cal as they would be in Vegas.

I have found several decent hotels for less than $100.00 a night around Simi Valley and Ontario.

That is 42 miles from the stadium. How long do you think it will take in Rose Bowl traffic? An hour and a half minimum?

I'm at the Omni downtown and don't have to drive anywhere all week. Thank You Primesport!!!
From everything I have read traffic will be no problem until you approach the Rose Bowl the morning of the game.

We have a sizeable group going and were so paranoid that we'd have to have 150+ priority points to get tickets through the University that we asked everyone we know to put in for tickets for us. In addition, we found some through the secondary market (marked up to $150 above face but still not awful). Then the University wound up distributing tickets in a way that gave a huge chunk of the fan base tickets, which is great, but left us with almost 10 tickets that we had to sell because everyone we asked got them.

We've been able to sell most of them but I probably went through 10-12 people who were interested in going early on but gave up on their plans because they couldn't spend the amount being asked on Stub Hub and then, after being offered tickets, couldn't find reasonable flights.

I applaud what the ticket office tried to do but perhaps they could have been more transparent right away which would have allowed us to plan better as a fan base.

It certainly would have been nice from a planning perspective, I'm not really sure how the ticket office could estimate how many points it would take to get tickets, and it doesn't appear they had any idea how many extra tickets the Rose Bowl would give them.

There were a lot of posters on this board telling people to calm down, ride it out and ticket prices would go down. (to be fair, there were posters claiming they would remain high). I understand your predicament, somewhat shitty situation, but cost of travel was never going to change as there is simply finite amount of flights out of Iowa and it is over a major holiday.

^ I get what you are saying and by no means am I upset about having to sell extra tickets. However, if the ticket office knew it was going to spread its allotment across as many fans as possible, it would have been good to know. It was so different than the way they managed the B1G Championship game that it came as a surprise.

Of the 10-12 people who initially asked me to keep an eye out for tickets, almost all of them wanted tickets in hand before paying for flights etc. By the time we found out we had tickets, flights were booked and prices skyrocketed. Again, not complaining but I'm offering my view of why we might not have 60K fans filling the Rose Bowl.

Thank you Primesport for bending me over!!

I bought the package an hour after the announcement and haven't regretted it for 1 second.

Since then I also haven't spent 1 second scouring the Internet for tickets or hotels. I don't have to worry about traffic or transportation. I have excellent seats to the parade and most importantly, to the game. I've spent very little time in LA in my life, so I don't have to worry about getting lost or parking. This entire experience is stress free/worry free. For all of that, I'm more than fine with spending a few more dollars for a bucket list experience for me.

After all of this my tickets came in at about the same price as they were being sold for on Stubhub, so I paid market price.

Now if we go back, I plan on learning enough from this trip to do it cheaper next time. I will always splurge for good seats for an event like this, but next time I'll skip the parade, use points for a room and a car, and drive a little on the departure end for cheaper airfare. Again, glad Tom had Primesport on board here or maybe I wouldn't have found it. Thanks Tom!
