Tim Dwight on HOF ballot.

To even be on the list of nominees, everyone was required to be either a consensus or unanimous First Team All-American. I thought Timmy might have a leg up by being a two-time First Team AA; but a very quick count yielded over 20 nominees who were also two- time AA's and two who were three-time First Team AA's. Whew! It makes the enshrinement of so many Iowa players over time pretty remarkable. Tavian Banks, Andre Tippett, Reggie Roby, Chuck Long and Coach Fry are just some of the more recent Inductees. Good Luck, Tim!

Wasn't Tippett on the ballot linked?

If so, it was an error. I remember the celebrations here when he made it... and when I checked a minute ago, he was already there. ;-) Tavian went in in 2013.

The parties for Tippett and Banks were epic, I don't even remember all that went on. Care to share your recollections of the celebrations? :)

Tim is certainly very deserving of that honor. He is the best punt return man ever in the B1G. Yes, my opinion is very biased but it should be a no brainer.
He was an amazing college player but there are freaking several Heisman winners on that list. No brainier? I would say you are a wee bit biased. Which you did admit to
