Time to get rid of DEAD WEIGHT

Just get rid of Barta.

I would love to have Moss and Cook come back for senior year's and try to make a name for themselves. Neither played very well in the biggest games of their lives.

I'll say it again. The only dead weight here is the OP.

Without all the guys on your list we'd have lost by 50.

So you can GFY.

Id like to give my personal thanks to every single Hawk on the team for a fun year of basketball. Ups and downs sure, but still exceeded my pre-season expectations.

I like Cook but this is not unrealistic.

They'll have more length depth in the frontcourt with Nunge, Pemsl and PMac.

I see Nunge as a guy who can really develop.
why pemsl ? big heart but the kid cant shoot a lick .

“Unfortunately, in today’s society, we’ve got a lot of people that want to tear you down for whatever reason,” Speraw said, pausing for a few seconds to collect his emotions. “But quite honestly as an Iowan, that’s not how Iowans respond. They care about people. They’re always ... building people up.

This thread ... sigh.

Barta is the dead weight. A change at the top now would let a new AD come in and with an open mind evaluate Kirk and Fran. A change has to be coming with Kirk retiring. Fran has 2-3 years left with that ridiculous buyout.

We have some changes coming and I don’t want Barta making any of them.

Lot of hate toward OP but he’s on point. Moss is the only dude I’d be glad to have back as he could have a special senior season. Rest can or should go. Connor can stay I guess because of dad but seriously.

Let's not get crazy here. The team had a very good year (in comparison to the prior 20 years).

The were 1 basket away from beating a team that spent much of the season in the top 5 of the rankings. A win wasnt expected by anyone.

1. Cook
2. Dailey
3. Moss
4. Connor
5. The assistant coach who scouted this game
6. Strength and conditioning coach
7. Barta

Thank goodness OP isn't our AD or coach. Great job by Fran, our assistants, and players this season. Huge improvement! If not for several missed fouls on Grant Williams, we win this game and go to Sweet 16.

I stand by the post. Guarantee we play better next year without Cook's turnovers, poor rebounding and 45% free throw shooting. Dailey, Connor and Moss will play significantly less with Touissant and CJ in the mix. I also think Fran will find a grad transfer or juco guard.

I wouldn't say this was great year--I see it as solid year but not tremendous to use Fran's own word..the Fran fade roughtly similar to 2014 and 2016. I do like that they didn't get blown out in 2nd NCAA game like 2015 and 2016 teams. Frank still in only coach in Big10 that has never made it to a Saturday game in BTT. Alford had some moments in BTT that Fran has never given us and similar overall record. No one called Alford great. This year was great relative the the crapfest that was 2018.
