Tired of Losing to Wisconsin

As I have said before, WI has a great advantage over us in that they are the only DI school in as state with a population almost double ours and very good HS football programs. They get their pick of big linemen, super LB's and a few skill players. They go out East and show skill players how great it will be to play with those kind of fronts. Wilson is an example of this as he was going to Rutgers until he saw the picture. They also have 13 D3 schools to draw from if they see they missed a great player.

Wilson was a grad transfer from NC state. If population and D3 schools were the answer Minnesota would win the west every year.

Their failures with the built-in advantages their state offers doesn't mean those who succeed under similar circumstances don't have a realistic potential you don't possess without those built-in advantages.

Florida's and Texas' results vary from mundane to exceptional. Slim chance Wisconsin ever reaches their heights not being in a football hotbed, but being a 1 program state with a nice-sized pop., it's considerably higher than Iowa's.

Ferentz is one of the best coaches in the country to win much more than he loses in a major conference w/ Iowa in the 2000's.

I don't think that would be the case if Iowa wasn't in the B10 West. But they are so, yeah, he often has the second or third best record in the B10 West and the 6th or 7th best record in the B10 conference as a whole. Going back 7 or 8 years, anyway, which is longer than most coaches who don't get insane buyout clauses. Look at Bielema at Arky. He would have been gone last year (at the least) if not for his buyout. Iowa can do better than they have been. They proved that in the 1980s and the 2000s (2001-2010). Apparently success at Iowa is based on even number decades. So, hey, only four more years until 2021 and then Iowa will be curbstomping teams every week.

Sucks losing to Wisconsin. Especially seeing them look about the same year after year lately. Iowa really has struggled with how to beat the 3-4 defense they have. I know Kirk is married to the zone running game but Wisonsin show's how much more effective power blocking game can be when you have those massive midwest lineman to run behind.
Also, they have continued to out recruit Iowa at the RB position.

That's bull crap. You know what's tipped the scales? We are SOFT on the OL. Where's our strength and conditioning program????? You do not beat Wisconsin with play calling only by brute force. Yes we are soft!
