To protect and serve

Good for the LAPD. Taking out the trash one person at a time. Seems Chicago and Philadelphia need to up their cop game as too many little liberals running around breaking the law, harming society.
What?
They killed a 14 year old girl whose only crime was trying on clothes nearby while they were gunning down someone without paying attention to where the fuq heir bullets went.
You get dumber every day.

Didn't click the link but the snippet says cops were shooting at "an assault suspect."

Perhaps it's clear if you do read the link, but forgetting the tragedy of killing an innocent child for a second, since when is "assault" a reason to shoot someone dead in the first place?

Officers were sent to the Burlington store, formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, at Laurel Canyon and Victory boulevards about 11:45 a.m. after receiving a 911 call from a person who reported hearing arguing inside the store and shots fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. On the way there, they received a second call about a shooting and people taking cover inside the store.

Witnesses said a man began swinging some kind of a chain and attacking customers inside the store. It was not immediately clear whether the man also had a gun.

Police located the man assaulting another person in the store, police said. Police opened fire and the attacker was struck and killed

Gotcha. Thanks.

I assumed "assault" meant a fistfight or something comparable. Figured "shooting" would be the term used if cops were responding to, you know, a shooting.

That cops should have x-ray vision so they have a capability to see through walls. It's a tragic accident for sure; but still and accident.
The suspect didn't have a gun. They came in an sprayed an unarmed suspect without knowing what was behind their target and killed a child. Don't excuse it, this was fail on many levels and anyone with even the most basic academy training knows that.

The 911 calls from the store reported gun shots. Then it was reported the suspect was attacking shoppers with a chain. When the cops shot him he was beating another person with a chain with a large padlock on it. One of his victims was hospitalized.

so he did have a gun got it.

(pro tip its the cops job to quickly address the situationn otherwise they would just come in shooting everytime someone reported a gun or shooting. Hmmmm wonder why that doesn't happen)

You are human trash. No matter where you stand on police reform issues, a 14-year-old girl getting shot while trying on clothes is tragic.

I sincerely hope your death is imminent, agonizing, and long. Then you spend eternity in Gehenna. Yes, you, are trash to be burned.

Merry fugging Christmas, dirt bag.

Yes, it’s an accident, for sure. But the question is should the officers have fired in the first place? I don’t know. It’s a shitty situation, and I’m guessing if the 14-year-old girl was related to you, you’d be singing a much different tune than, oops, the cops goofed.

You assume a lot. Maybe you shouldn't be lazy and instead read up on issues before you make an ass out of yourself.

So explain how they were to know if there was someone behind a wall? The officers felt the situation warranted drawing and firing their weapons, it will be investigated.

I'm not excusing it, if there is negligence found during the investigation then the officers need to be held accountable. Regardless how you want to spin it, this was a very tragic accident and a young girl was killed.

This could have all been avoided if the 24 year old male wasn't being a criminal. Sucks this happened for the young lady and her family but every action has a reaction. This death is on the loser criminal hands not the police who were protecting and serving.

It’s not that cut and dry yet. You’re making assumptions just like the anti cops in this thread. You can’t just assume they didn’t do anything wrong. Just like you can’t assume they did everything wrong.
