In my area over the last 7-10 days stores are running out of TP. Sams Club, Costco, grocery stores, Target, Wal-Mart, even Amazon Prime. It’s getting precarious in my house. Mrs. Dragon (no pics) might have to lend herself out some night behind a dumpster for a pack of 2-ply.

Appears people are concerned the Coronavirus makes them poop themselves silly.

How bad is the TP situation where you are?

It's not about excessive pooping, it's about being potentially quarantined for weeks.

I had a colostomy since late October and it was reversed Monday. What timing. Although south side Hy Vee had plenty yesterday.

Down to my last two rolls. I tried 3 stores without success, even the store employees called the hoarders "idiots" and "wussies." TP stockpilers are indeed low life bastards.

Costco in Davenport still had it but the supplies seemed lower than normal for sure. We bought the same pack we get every two months or so.

A couple of days ago we were at Costco. I was talking to a stocker who told me that for a week they couldnt stock enough RICE, Kleenex, paper towels/Clorox wipes, bottled water and hand disinfectant at their (WDM) store. Now why rice? Why bottled water( don’t folks have tap water at home any more?)? But he told me he’d been stocking this stuff non-stop for over a week.

You need water to make rice.

Some people don't use tap water for drinking or cooking. If you're looking at the possibility of being quarantined for weeks, you stock up.

And if you're going to be out of work for weeks, you need cheap food. Like rice.

I posted this in a another thread. What you will notice is these people are going bonkers for TP and there is a lack of soap purchases....

Couple places sold out, couple places are rationing.

We have a library of books in our house and tons of plastic bags to contain these non flushable makeshift ass wipes. Running out of TP is not a concern but I might need some extra soap to get the ink off my ass.

Went shopping this morning. Walmart in SW CR and Hy Vee Wilson Avenue.

Both places were low on stock. Considering the Walmart has an entire grocery row dedicated to TP, it was startling to see. Mostly just a few of the largest packages of the most expensive name brands left, all the cheapies and most all the smaller packages gone.

I'd say 20% stocked total at WM, maybe 50% at Hy Vee tops.

I had 12 rolls at home, bought a 24 pack. Should be set for roughly 6 months if not longer.

I think we found the problem....

We were in a Publix this afternoon that is relatively new to our area. The TP and toilet paper aisle was stocked to prolly 90%, as were tissues.
The real solution however, is Kula. I gave Kula to my daughter and several of her hiking buddies at Christmas. You can thank me later.

I work at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center that’s serves them. It’s not that we don’t have the toilet paper, we don’t have enough workers to fill the orders.

Go to the small town super markets. They will have plenty of TP and everything you need. People in those towns are not insane.

Someone told me that toliet paper prices have been jacked up. If I had to purchase TP I would have no idea what is the normal price so probably wouldn't bat an eye.

We all should have bidets anyways.

Went to the Walmart in Waverly today because I was down to my last roll. While there was definitely some toilet paper. It seemed the 48 roll packs were hit the hardest. For shits and giggles I checked out the water. There it was pretty much the same way as the toilet paper. You were able to buy water but the 24 to 30 packs were gone or just about gone. I didn't buy any water because all I needed was the toilet paper.

I didn't notice they were that much higher than normal.

I paid $20 for my 24 rolls. I seem to recall last time I purchased this exact same pack it was somewhere in the $16's (same store), but that was a few months back and can't be 100% certain.

The price did raise my eyebrows though...

The Sam's Club in Apple Valley, MN was completely out yesterday. Target shelves were 90% empty, but they did have some of the Charmin extra soft on the shelf. The extra strong must protect against Covfefe19.

What is wrong with people? Seriously. There is ZERO reason to be stocking up on toilet paper, or anything else. All this is doing is feeding the hysteria.

Idiots.....idiots everywhere.
