It's always kind of been that way though.
A long time ago I thought about how there was a lack of good QB's and started counting it up and really came to the conclusion that only about half the teams had quality QB's.
Danny DeVito is going to have a tough time seeing over his linemen that's for sure...
When I think of the personal foul that was called on the Iowa DB for performing a routine tackle on the Illinois quarterback, I can’t help but think Brady is spot on.
A lot of this is player safety related. An argument can be made that unless changes are made, participation at the youth levels will continue to plummet.
I also believe that a bit of what he said is what you see from retired people in many professions or just life in general, that is the propensity of people to think their generation did it better and the current crop is substandard.

The NBA is better than it has been in the last 25-28 years. Late 90s/2000s were bad.
I do, not as much as past years, but with friends in the league I catch their games.

The NFL is mediocre, he's right, but the cause can be argued. Is it a demonstration that the teams are too even, is it the officiating, what is it? I'm going to err on the side of everybody thinking their top 10 draft pick at qb is going to be an all pro when the reality is that most of them are Derek Carr on their best day.
The NHL is unwatchable. It's reached the point of being dizzying, and there's no form to the game.
MLB is the only one that's taken measures to actually improve its product. The umpiring is better since they've started being rated, the game moves quicker now, and there's more movement on the basepaths and less home run derby.
